In the Great Plains sale, here. Not very seasonal, but at £9 worth a gamble for next autumn/winter?

Just bought one in the red - fingers crossed it's ok, but for £9 it was worth a try!

Thanks for the spot!

Wow, that's great, thanks!

For the information of anyone going on the Piss Up For Porto, I may very well be wearing this: do not DARE to wear the same dress if you are likely to look better in it than I do, ie, don't ANYBODY wear it Grin

I just bought the red one too, and a lovely top for 12.50 Grin

Damn, sold out in my size. Great find, though.

Am tempted by this, but it looks utterly exhorbitant next to the nine pound one. Smile

Yay thank you! I've just bought it in black and in 2 sizes smaller for inspiration!

It came this morning. The read colour is beautiful and I love the style, but it hangs like a sack. It's just hugely baggy and hanging off me everywhere. Sad I got the small (I'm size 10) and when I took it out of the packaging I could see that it was more like a 14. You might have got the sizing sussed, there, Isaac!

Great Plains sizing is mental. They have a problem IMO with the way the clothes are cut because they always manage to be really unflattering.

Blush 'the RED colour is beautiful', even...

So frustrating, especially because I always fit perfectly into a French Connection size 10!

My red dress arrived this morning and it is fab. But... i am sending two other dresses back as one pulls horriblly over my shoulders and the other is enormous !

Thank you for the tip off tho as I love the red lace one.

Have the exact same issue as Motion - I'm a size 10 practically everywhere (aside from mad vanity shops where I'm an 8), and after consulting their size chart I opted for the small and now it's here it's like a bloody sack! And it isn't free returns

So if anyone is a 12/14 and wants the red one, with a fetching "S" label at the neck, I can just as easily post it on as send it back. PM me.

Hotel It cost me £3 to return via RM, and I was so peeved at their crapola size charts that I wrote I wanted to cancel the contract under distance selling regs - at least that gets me the original £3.95 delivery charge back!

I'm cross with RM at the moment after they put up their postage costs. I just wondered if anyone wanted it seeing as it was sold out already.

The size charts are bollocks aren't they. I've just measured the dress and it's waist is 32 inches - it says 27 on the size chart!

Report
MotionCity · 24/06/2013 15:29

I was considering sizing up to a medium as the size chart lists a small as 34-27.5-37.5 and I'm 35-25-38....you can imagine what that 32" waist looked like!

Will definitely be hesitant to order from them again. The product description calls it a 'fitted' dress.

I have tweeted my displeasure! And I did the same thing, considered a medium as I'm 36-26.5-38 and was worried about the boobs and bum. Would never have considered an XS as I'm not extra small! Madness.

My friend with a law degree says that if it's not as described they need to refund your postage too.

Same here. I ordered an xl which was meant to be a 16 and it was at least a 20. It is definitely badly sized. Wont order from them again!!! Nice dress though!!

I got mine yesterday- it is certainly too big, but I don't mind that, as I would prefer it not to cling and be more shift-style anyway.

Well, I got the red lace dress too. I am 14/16 up top, and 12/14 bottom. I ordered the large, and I think it fits very well - it's not too tight, and feels really comfortable. Perhaps it ought to be tighter, but I'm not confident enough to wear something tighter.

It is also a very good length on me - a nice inch above my knees. I have good legs so like to show these off. However, I am only 5'2", so on someone taller it would be quite short!

Not bad for £9, now all I need is an occasion to wear it!!
