Where can I buy comfortable heels?

I really love wearing heels but since turning 40, and after several bouts of backache, they give me sore feet and an achy back.

I've got a wedding to go to in july and really don't want to wear flats. Is there anywhere that sells super soft comfy heels?

I think M&S and Next both do comfortable ranges called 'sole survivor' an 'footglove' or something like that, I've found those to be very comfy in teh past. I think Clarks do similar too.

Next here and here

M&S here

Not sure if any will be suitable for a wedding outfit, think they are mostly just for work.

Duo heels are very comfortable and anything at M&S with "Insolia" which stops the foot being pushed forward.

Gabor, lotus et al. do some good ones (try Edwards of Manchester, think they're online). If you're flush or you find something in the sale, LK Bennett are nice.

Hush Puppies and Fly London do some really pretty shoes with comfortable heels. Have a look.

Ecco

Thank you. I hadn't thought of M&S or Next for shoes so I will go in and try some on.

Some of the links are to more work type shoes but that's good as I tend to wear flat shoes for work when I'd much prefer to find decent heels for the odd day.

The Ecco Lisbon shoes in nude are lovely, I'll try and find those in my nearest Ecco shop.

Thanks!

What are the Next City Heels? Can anyone link?

Ecco are brilliantly comfy.
If you have a Pavers they often have bargains in them.

If you are looking for stilettos, I find LK Bennett makes killer heels that feel very comfortable I can wear them all day and not hurt. I even walked down 8 flights of stairs in them once for a fire drill and was fine.

This pair moulds to my feet: www.lkbennett.com/shoes/courts/Shilo-taupe-patent

I don't know about soft but wedge heels tend to be more comfortable and stable.

marks and spencers also have some heels with insolia in, which is a padded insole, they are usually in the autograph collection. www.marksandspencer.com/Insolia-Innovation-Shoes-Sandals-Womens/b/547472031?ie=UTF8&pf_rd_r=0CTNZKA6MA8X38BQ230S&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=43126030&pf_rd_p=475115433&pf_rd_s=left-nav-2

failing that I buy padded insoles and wear with any heels I want to.

Hotter - I bought 3 pairs at the weekend as they were doing a 3 for 2 offer - they had lots of dressy styles as well as the more casual shoes.
