Which Dress Do You Prefer Of These 2

I'm going to a 'Blessing', will be abroad and so should actually see the sun.

I've bought 2 dresses, one and two but need some opinions as don't need both.

I thought they were quite sweet and yet still stylish but ma having doubts.

The first dress does come in a dusky grey or a cobalt blue that I could always try instead.

Thoughts?

I quite like the pink one, but definitely not the white one. I don't think the neckline and the skirt look as if they go together, aside from the 'not wearing white to a wedding' rule - presume this would still apply at a blessing ?

It's not actually white. It's lemon with a lilac lace overlay.

The colours are a but stronger in real life too.

Neither of the couple will be wearing white.

But thanks anyway, will have another look at the neck.

I prefer the first. It's nice in pink but could be a bit little girly. I think the cobalt blue would look more stylish.

I like the 2nd one better but nearly £200 for polyester is pretty obscene imho - and you will be v hot too. I think you can get better and probably for less money tbh.

Have a look at Jigsaw- much classier and they have a lovely grey lace dress for £129.

Sorry had forgotten this thread. I find Jigsaw really frumpy and mumsy so I don't shop there. I looked at the grey dress I think you mean but its a bit plain, I think my mum would probably wear it and she's 62.

However, I did see this on there which I really like. I guess its down to The Great Gatsby but I'm going to order it and give it a go. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm really excited by the flapper dress.

I think I will keep the first dress, although will consider swapping the colour. Its a shame about the second one as it looks quite pretty in real life but its obviously not the best of the bunch.

I wasn't too fussed about the cost as I had an £85 credit from Whistles anyway so whichever dress I kept would work out relatively cheap.

The flapper dress is absolutely beautiful.

Not thinking much of Whistles dresses generally this season tbh, but do like these shorts - not at all what you're after though!

I've been really disappointed by Whistles this season Remus, usually I'd count them as one of my favourite shops (since they changed hands) but theres nothing much this season. I have come to the conclusion, I think last summer, that they do the winter season much better and summer just isn't a hit for them.

I'm so bored of Zara, always thought I could rely on Whistles to stem the frump but appears not.

The flapper dress is lovely- though £££! They did it for the Xmas season and it was obviously a success. I like the lace dress but know what you mean- it's kind of 'classic' and I have it in black- and I am more likely closer to your Mum's age than yours!

I like the first dress more, but thinking you might be cooler in the white.

The flapper dress is beautiful, but looks almost like a costume.
