If you could only have two nail varnish colours for the rest of your life, what would they be?

Curious as I'm investing in a gel system!

For me I think a beigey taupey everyday one and either a warm coral or a bright red. That's three!

Same as you ( although I have yet to find the perfect beige). The other one would be coral ( toes only). Funny because generally not a favourite colour but its brilliant with a tan

Black (oddly looks best on me out of all coloured polish) for summer sandal weather, and a nude colour for winter.

pocketandsweet have you tried NailsInc Basil street? Its my favourite everyday nude, Im just getting annoyed with having to reapply ALL the time hense trying the gel.

I love the cherry red colour bunny linked to but occasionally I feel its a bit old ladyish (I think because my granny and her cousins wear that and only that!) and then I think its amazing and goes with everything! So I'm dithering over red or coral. Coral is beautiful but for winter......

I think it totally depends on the shape of your nails Umlauf.

On longer, pointer nails most colours look dated and unattractive imo.

I always have mine short and squoval. The perfect shape for retro brights and gothy dark colours Smile

Chanel Rouge Noir and a matt grey. In fact those are the only two colours I have at the moment - the Chanel is my staple and I vary the other from time to time when I have an event or something requiring another colour

Nude and a plum type colour. Bourgois used to do a lovely one but haven't seen it in recent times.

Pillar box red and that slightly luminous clear colour that stops nails looking yellow.

Deepest burgundy - almost black/brown.
The classic, perfect red. Somewhere between scarlet and crimson.

Not frosted, not pearlised.

i was tempted to say nude, but if I can only pick two then no polish at all is as good as nude!

I'm with bunny on the short and squoval. It's the only way to go. It stands the test of time, transcends all fads and is classy yet practical.

I've tried some beiges but they can be grim - they look like I have tobacco stained nails. Urrgh.
