Another £28 down the drain

I thought I was making a carefully considered, researched purchase when I bought Clinique CC cream today, especially as money is tight. I thought it would be a nice treat for myself. The sales assistant in John Lewis tried various shades on me. But now that I've seen my face in a natural light I'm horrified and don't think I can ever use the product. Seemed to settle in every line and pore and also made me look shiny rather than dewy!
What do you think my chances are of asking for a different product? Maybe the tinted moisturiser instead? Although the colour match with that was not great. Feel embarrassed as the assistant was so nice. Blush
Any advice?

I'd take it back & explain the issues. I'm sure they'll swap it for another product.

I agree , take it back. I find Clinique are brilliant at wanting the customer to be happy with their purchase.

Take it back. That is what the assistants are there for.

I've heard various poor reviews of their cc cream. I would take it back and explain the issues. I used the tinted moisuriser last summer and liked it.

I tried it instore. I did half my face with clinique bb cream and the other half with dior hydra life tinted moisturiser.

When I say half, I mean large areas each side of my face! I then went shopping for a few hours and then when I came back I decided the clinique cream wasn't a patch on the dior one.

I always take make up back if it looks different at home and have never not had my money refunded or the item exchanged.

Have heard bad things about the CC cream. Take it back and they will refund you.

Take it back. I did this with a Clinique foundation. Texture and coverage wasn't brilliant. I swapped it for another type which I'm very happy with. They didn't give me any grief either.
