Nude fishnets are lovely. I get the Jonathan Aston micronets.

Marks used to do a spanx-equivalent that were more like smooth long-leg knickers, more comfortable than spanx but lacking the gut-sucking ability. I'll see if I can find a link.

Ditto micronets. I really like them.

These are the ones I'm thinking of

Succoria, yes that is exactly my problem with fishnets. fine for just around the house, but when I walk any distance in them, the back of my heels and soles of my feet hurt. a lot.

Marks and spencer do fishnets with a solid foot bit and control too. They are my best rights ever, so comfy!

Hmmm yes they can be hard on the feet. They will also wear the lining of your shoes / sandals more than knit tights.

Make sure you don't stretch them too tight over the foot, give the toes plenty of room. I wear them all day at work and don't really suffer.

The Primark ones are surprisingly good too. For the thigh-chafing issue I can recommend Mitchums deodorant: roll a layer onto your inner thighs and leave to dry, works perfectly.
