Shoes - opinions on these please

I need new shoes for walking to work and back again, and obviously wearing all day. I have yet more blisters from the heels I've been wearing this week after my favorite shoes died.

So what do people think of these? Frumpy?

Any suggestions, I need a 5-5.5 wider fit, something which goes the lots and is comfy but then not too frumpy, I'm only 35, also can't wear ballet pumps as they hurt my feet due to nerve n a funny position.

Sorry but they say 'given up on life' to me.

How about some brogues?

Do brogues go with skirts and dresses? Do like the look of them.

I hate shoes! Would much rather be barefoot but sadly that's not possible.

I'm trying to not buy Birkenstocks as I'd like something a little less clumpy.

I agree with Numberlock.

I have 3 pairs of brogues, 2 from Dune and I have the Hamble brogues from Clarks in Nude. They have a cushioned insole and have not rubbed me at all. They are really, really comfy.

I wore my tan and black ones with skirts and dresses all winter, with opaques. Not sure if I will wear my nude ones though because I have really, really, really skinny legs ( think an average 10 year old) so I think they will look daft on me. On an average person I think they'd look OK.

dear god no

I've got these loafers too, but they did take a bit of breaking in. Don't know if they are supportive enough for you though.

if you like them get them, i don't think they're frumpy but would suit a hippyish sort of person. a woman at my work wears those types of shoes but she can carry them off (iykwim!)

Custardo - the Clark's shoe in the first link or brogues with skirts?

So, if brogues then which colour to go through the summer would paler ones be better or dark.

My wardrobe is mainly blues, greens and browns with the odd red item thrown in.

Plus have just got abright red zatchel.

Get the palest/ nude brogues, summery and go with anything.
