I am going to a hen do on Saturday and would like to wear this Reiss fuscia boycon dress, which has been in my wardrobe forever.

I imagine there will be a little walking involved (well, swaying in the wee hours) as well as plenty of dancing.

In the past I have worn it with patent black very too high heels but want something a little edgier (wedges with a flas of neon perhaps?) and just more comfortable for this occasion. Also, any suggestions on something to wear over it?

Budget is minimal but I have a fair bit in my paylap account which I am happy to use.

(Size-wise, I am 5'6", size 8...)

What shoe size are we looking for?

still too high with the platform?

MrsLettuce Mon 13-May-13 20:18:27

blue leopard-ish hmm
actually quite low once you subtract the platform height

dairymoo Mon 13-May-13 20:20:03

Sorry, 6 or 7. smile

Quite like the first ones, thanks, not as keen on the other two.

dairymoo Mon 13-May-13 20:20:21

They are high though, aren't they?

MrsLettuce Mon 13-May-13 20:23:08

Yeah, probably.

MrsLettuce Mon 13-May-13 20:27:37

plain black but still edgy and practical?

you need to look at new look, their site doesn't work for me but it should there.

dairymoo Mon 13-May-13 20:33:03

I'm not sure those would work, but they would be comfy! Will have a look at New Look.

Another 'outfit' option is this skirt from Anthropologie, which I love, but have never known how to style for more than the beach. Possible for dinner & dancing?

MrsLettuce Mon 13-May-13 20:35:25

Oh definitely! Lovely skirt. Will look.

THe black shoes would certainly work but the result might be a bit kinky.

dairymoo Mon 13-May-13 20:39:38

Haha. Yes, not quite the look I'm after.
Would def prefer to wear the skirt as it's much more 'me' IYKWIM, but don't want to look to casual. Wore it at the weekend with a cropped cream cable-knit cotton jumper, red leather flat sandals and a chunky diamante necklace which looked great but not smart enough for a night out.

dairymoo Mon 13-May-13 20:40:30

Skirt is quite long, a proper midi, hence the difficulty in smartening it up!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Mon 13-May-13 20:40:53

Dress deffo better than the skirt. The skirt looks more walking around the farmers' market-ish to me.

Mad wedges

MrsLettuce Mon 13-May-13 20:43:14

this would do it

MrsLettuce Mon 13-May-13 20:44:18

Heehee nearly linked to those in blue Remus. KG I think. New look must have something, most frustrating not being able to get in.

dairymoo Mon 13-May-13 20:52:12

New Look has these turquoise ones. Turquoise & fuscia?? Also in coral but I think it'd look like I'd tried to match them and failed miserably...

Also, these [ wedges]] could be an option with the skirt?

dairymoo Mon 13-May-13 20:52:36

Sorry, these ones

MrsLettuce Mon 13-May-13 21:14:00

I can't click through to the turquoise but they're to casual for the dress, I think. turquoise would be good though.

animal again
turquoise more casual but doable?
nice, plain black wedge sandals after all?
one more
monochrome print

MrsLettuce Mon 13-May-13 21:15:59

too casual

dairymoo Mon 13-May-13 22:02:29
