Struggling to find any nice summer dresses

Have looked all over high st

Hate all that Aztec print stuff and everywhere is wall-to-wall polyester

I'm going to Greece and just want some simple, colourful, knee-length dresses that will look nice for evening wear. I don't like strapless or spaghetti strap.

Why is it so hard?!

Please, please, any cotton dresses, long, but not maxi that you can just throw on and not show your bra.

Everyone must be sick of the sight of my four yearold Debenham's one.

I have Mint Velvet

It's lovely on, straps wide enough to cover bra strap, doesn't crease, high cotton content. Good for day time with flats and denim jacket, heels for evening.

this is a lovely cornflower blue colour and a good shape if you're an apple.

Gap have some notch necked shifts which are also nice but lined and I should think too hot for Greece.

I love Boden for summer dresses. Lots of comfy cotton. Washes well too.

Ta for links Grin

Really want to try on before buying after my experience today... Must have tried about 15 dresses on, all of which looked in the main, naff

Didn't go in M&S. Might have a look, think the white one may be a bit matronly, like the look of the Gap one though (why didn't I spot that today?)

Relented in the end and bought an Aztec style from Warehouse (not sure how to link on iPhone, soz) but it was the style and shape that won over the print, IYKWIM

Thanks again Grin

Oh gindrinker, what have you done to me? I have just been on the Joules website and everything is so gorgeous. Especially the dresses. Now I am sad as I can't afford to buy anything. Envy
Mind you I did get a couple of quite nice dresses in New look last week. They had loads of nice ones online. Not cotton though Sad
