Please help me find a something to wear over my wedding dress in 2 days time!

I'm getting married on Saturday in a very low-key informal event. I'm wearing this dress with some tan sandals.

It's going to be freezing and wet on the day and we're taking public transport hmm

What can I wear on top of the dress to keep me warmish and dryish?

I don't suit macs usually (makes my boobs look like two giant flat squashed things), which is annoying. I thought something like this Fearne Cotton Ditsy print mac might just be OK but it's out of stock in my size (10)

Only have tomorrow to go and buy something - can I have your ideas/suggestions?

MrsLettuce Thu 09-May-13 20:43:47

Which shops do you have access too? Would you be happy to pay for same day delivery?

MrsLettuce Thu 09-May-13 20:50:29

possibly? mainly because of the delivery options TBH

NCBrideDesperado Thu 09-May-13 20:51:00

Can get to most shops MrsL, and yep would pay for delivery.

Budget isn't massive but I'm desperate!

NCBrideDesperado Thu 09-May-13 20:54:17

Ooh that's a possibility

NCBrideDesperado Thu 09-May-13 20:55:14

Bugger out of stock in my size

MrsLettuce Thu 09-May-13 20:56:33

Sorry, saw that so meant to link to this but must have failed

this?

NCBrideDesperado Thu 09-May-13 20:58:54

That mango one makes me think a magician's going to saw me in half grin

MrsLettuce Thu 09-May-13 21:01:59

maybe

blue?? No issues with the shades of cream not working together and still kind of appropriate as in 'something blue'

floppy trench

very, very simple

Thurlow Thu 09-May-13 21:04:53

this?

NCBrideDesperado Thu 09-May-13 21:07:08

Like the warehouse one the best, will check it out tomorrow. Bit unsure about no collar but might grow on me!

Thurlow Thu 09-May-13 21:07:53

Or this or I quite like this fake fur, though you'd have to see it in person I think.

MrsLettuce Thu 09-May-13 21:09:50

navyblue but rather lovely and if you like it you'd get a lot of wear from it. Belt is awful but detachable.

NCBrideDesperado Thu 09-May-13 21:19:32

You're right that belt is awful Mrs L, gorgeous coat though - another possibility.

Thanks for all your suggestions so far smile

MrsBertMacklin Thu 09-May-13 21:22:07

No suggestions, but wanted to say that dress is beautiful & I hope you have a lovely day.

NCBrideDesperado Thu 09-May-13 21:23:31

Aww thanks MrsB thanks

MrsLettuce Thu 09-May-13 21:25:29

here front on, sans belt. Seems to just be a pointless bit of cord hmm

If you decide to go with cream / neutral you'd really need to take your dress with you to make sure the two shades are OK together

NCBrideDesperado Thu 09-May-13 21:35:18

They're like those curtain tie-backs with a big knot of tassels

Yeah have had a few cream clashes this week, will be creasing carefully taking my dress with me

StatisticallyChallenged Thu 09-May-13 21:39:46

Are you definitely looking for cream or are there any colours you would consider?

NCBrideDesperado Thu 09-May-13 21:50:42

Would consider pretty much any colour but I look awful in red

I think the navy Coast coat is beautiful and pefect for the occasion..

No idea whether will still be valid but maybe worth checking- I saw that Coast was offering 25% off with a Hello mag the other day..

Hope you have a wonderful day- your dress is fab x

MrsLettuce Fri 10-May-13 13:31:23

Tethers second topshop one looks like it'd work a treat.
