This is year 3 for me, can do them for work, le soir or every day. LOvely cotton with stretch. SIze is actually accurate compared to most Gap trousers, Need a belt to look cool imho.

Nehru Tue 07-May-13 18:53:12

Pity the bint in the website didnt paint her toes.

CashmereHoodlum Tue 07-May-13 19:11:11

Bint? hmm

Don't see why she should paint her toenails when she hasn't got a head hmm

Trousers are okay though.

thestringcheesemassacre Tue 07-May-13 19:12:52

Good length. I like.

ICanTuckMyBoobsInMyPockets Tue 07-May-13 19:20:58

What a strange comment Nehru hmm
Those are lovely trousers. How would they look on a size 16?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Tue 07-May-13 19:27:49

Nice - but I find that Gap trousers pick up every bit of fluff within a ten mile radius. Am utterly in love with my Cos ones at the mo.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Tue 07-May-13 19:29:36

Btw never, every criticise what another woman looks like, or you will face the Wrath Of MN and get hmm faces by the thousand. 'Bint' isn't a nice word but agree that the toenails Could Have Done Much Better. smile

chibi Tue 07-May-13 19:36:04

i have 2 pairs of gap trousers

what are the cos trousers link pleasy pleasy

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Tue 07-May-13 19:39:05

They've disappeared now. I got them in a recent sale and now they are gone, which is a pain as I would have liked to buy another pair. sad

ADefiniteMaybe Tue 07-May-13 19:42:01

Nehru - am very tempted by these trousers but what do you mean when you say the size is accurate? I am a fairly standard size 12 but have found my last 2 pairs of Gap trousers have been smallish on me. Am wondering whether to go up to a 14.

paulapantsdown Tue 07-May-13 19:43:32

I bet these nice trousers, along with all the other nice trousers, wont go up over my ginormous calves sad though.

I am going to start a thread about this. All I want is a pair of trousers.

Nehru Tue 07-May-13 19:46:18

It's only as my zoom happened upon her toe nails.

Nehru Tue 07-May-13 19:47:18

Oh fgs. Bint was tongue in cheek.

Nehru Tue 07-May-13 19:47:59

The true straight pants are huge. I buy an EIGHT.
These fit me as a 12

Nehru Tue 07-May-13 19:48:49

Remus. That's interesting. I'm looking at legs now. A fleck of something. That's all.

cocolepew Tue 07-May-13 19:50:07

Do they have back pockets? I can't see on my phone.

chibi Tue 07-May-13 19:51:55

they have back pocket slits if you see what i mean

i think they are vestigial pockets

only a maniac puts things in back pockets anyway surely

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Tue 07-May-13 19:52:21

I know bint was tongue in cheek - but I got lots of po-faces the other day for meaning mean about a so-called 'Style blogger's' so-called style, so was waiting for you to get slated.

I Have Learned My Lesson Now. smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Tue 07-May-13 19:52:42

being mean not meaning mean

cocolepew Tue 07-May-13 19:53:57

Slits is ok, I don't like having no pockets, makes my bum look bigger

Startail Tue 07-May-13 19:56:17

I'm not convinced about black cropped trousers, they just look like ordinary work trousers that have shrunk.

Certainly on little 5'4" me they do. Trousers either have to reach my ankles or be halfway to my knees.

Alicethecamelshump Tue 07-May-13 20:13:30

Nehru, you do know that the size 8 you see is a UK 12? You add 4 to the size it says on label.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans Tue 07-May-13 20:17:23

These are good kecks. Tried some on in navy the other day but they were too similar to the Banana Republic damask-y ones I already have.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans Tue 07-May-13 20:18:50

I want kitten-heeled slingbacks to go with mine; only ones I've seen are Boden but they look fiendishly pointy for me.

PrincessOfChina Tue 07-May-13 20:22:00

They're great - a lovely comfy stretch to them. They are the only pair of Gap trousers I have that I had to size up in though, as opposed to sizing down.

I'm going to dig them out and wear them tomorrow now.
