It's a horrible dress and I'd look daft in the shoes.
But I'll bump this thread for you.

I know star the dress is gross. Actually in the dreaded DM they hadf and article with all the dresses from the Met Ball and I would be hard pressed to be willing to wear any of them - they were mostly absolutely awful! And it must be a challenge to make all those top models and actresses look so rough! But I do love those shoes.....

The shoes are by Tabitha Simmons I think, but I can't find them anywhere... Are these similar?

tethersend · 07/05/2013 12:14

Actually, I don't think they are tabitha Simmons. Ignore me Grin

try this pinterest page to see if there's anything similar that you like - I found some similar Valentino ones but they're the sameish sort of price.

thumb that link is to shoes with a chain ankle strap? The ones I want have asymmetric thin straps on the foot and no ankle strap...i'll look more in a mo, got to pick up DS...

No you're right - I thought they were the Blahnik ones because when you rest your mouse on that photo of Emma Watson, they show you the shoes to get "the look" and it's the Blahnik ones they link to; however, not the same as the ones she's wearing.

I did find some Dior black satin sandals that looked more similar ankle-strap wise, but possibly open-toed, on that pinterest page - but they're not showing up on the Dior site, dunno why. Probably equally heinous in price though!

Are these similar? here
I don't think they are louboutins as hers look like they have a nude sole

Those are nice noddy but Emma's have the beautiful leg lengthening straps on the foot instead of the bollard-calves inducing ankle straps.

Not quite sure, but are they these Louboutin ones?

Report
Thumbwitch · 07/05/2013 12:44

Nope, still not right - the Louboutins have crossed straps. Gah! Nice though...

Report
FauxFox · 07/05/2013 12:46

Yes queef think we can rule out Louboutins...def no red sole. Those are nice though...but not as nice as Emma's ones.

Argh! Where are they? Has she crafted them herself?!

I don't think so thumb, Emma's have one strap attached to the front of the shoe (off centre) with another one coming from it I think...they are so beautiful and dainty and quirky after all this clunky platform stiletto business...I heart them...
