I've been trying to find a waterproof mascara which will just colour my lashes black - without any lengthening, curling or false lash effect malarkey - do you know if one exists?!

I think Boots numbers 7 and 17 do a 'normal' waterproof one. Also I am sure Max Factor do. Have you tried Collection 2000 and MUA/Beauty UK Don't bother with the Monsoon/Accessorize one - far too drying:( Also the Boots natural range do one. NCannot remember if it is totally waterproof or just splash proof but hardly dents the purse in anycase. If you like the Maybelline pink and green bottle - they do a waterproof one.

Why don't you just get them tinted...?

Thanks deathwatchbeetle!

emsyj I have been getting them tinted for the last 15yrs, but the price has gone up a lot lately & I'm finding it hard to get to the beauticians every 4 weeks, so I thought I would give mascara a go.

Clinique lash power is what you want. It stays on all day - doesn't budge at all. You can then wash it off with water at their end of the day. I love it Grin

I just used to tint my own, only about £6 a tube and easy to do.

Blinc is the business. Honestly. After decades, decades I tell you, of futile searching that only ever led to panda-eyed hopelessness, I discovered the miracle that is Blinc's waterproof mascara. Does what it says etc. You just rinse it off with warm water. Tis brill, I tell you.

Where can you order the trial size, Musu? Can't see anywhere to do that on their site.

Tint your own eyelashes at home. Cheap and easy.

Just tint them yourself! Easy peasy - I've been doing it for years. You get the stuff in Boots.

Blinc arrived the other day & I love it already! Will have to try the others later!

Thanks again for all the suggestions!
