Party outfit: white stretch crepe pants? Lost my marbles?

My old friend invited my to a huge party. Actually his wedding 120 guests and evening only. It will be very unconvential... e.g. he said 'no suits' and dont even think about hats!

So how do I dress?

  • there will be all my friends from "back home" a long time before my life now and who I see every 5 years max... so I want to look great!
  • I don't want anything too sexy
  • or uncomfortable (dancing all night)
  • it could be a new party outfit for me and it needs to look a million dollar but with a cool style

do you need to be tanned for something like this? Is there a high street version? And what would you wear with this for said do.

Ummm... well...

In my humble opinion... I wouldn't risk a high street version as the expensive ones look cheap enough Blush

Do you prefer trousers, skirts, long or short dresses?

Knee length dress / skirt would be my first thought.
Never really wear "smart" evening trousers.

about this?

Not too sexy, not uncomfy (good for dancing) can do heels or skinny flip flip sandals, looks cool... ticks your boxes!

Cool! And I never owned a jumpsuit... Sounds like a fun idea. Might try it on, but mightn't suit me... Although i am slim, but bottom heavy..

Joyce I LOVE the play suit and the dress

What a pity I'm up the duff or I'd be ordering those right now

Sorry to hijack your thread OP - a nice dress that you could customise with pin on flowers etc maybe?!

Thanks Ladies :-) you have given me great inspiration. If the jumpsuit looks awesome I might get it even considering the price... Future party outfit. Really versatile :-)

Fairy - those heels are too high... I know I already strayed from my comfortable idea by loving those gold pumps.

Nice. I like the slit on the side of the leg!

So you all seems to think it calls for a playsuit!

If you go for one you will need to make plans in advance about how and when to pee.
