Just got these from Next of all places and they're really fab! Such a classic! Great fit. Cotton rich so will be great in the evenings on my city break to Venice at the end of the month

They do look nice but I think they might be a bit slim on the thigh area for me and my mighty thunder thighs nice though, very smart

lady don't have the slimmest thighs proportionately either and they fit me great. Love that they're cotton so great for hols.. Got them in black, navy, white and aqua cos I loved them so much

Got these too for dressier occasions - and again, not too tight on the thigh..

They are rather nice. A pair of uber tight control knickers should keep the front nice and flat!

I'm currently wearing something similar in a tobacco colour that I got in Tesco.

I'm not sure about them - this is their first outing. They're a bit loose at the waist, but then tight on my muscly runners' legs.

I'm wearing flat buttermilk loafers with them today - what other types of shoes would go?

No I haven't - only just bought them and they're for a break at the end of the month (not decided which colours though..). Hopefully they'll wash well..

Remus, what Cos ones do you have? I bought some last year and they washed badly so they took them back. Have been searching ever since and not been to Cos recently.

They were in the recent sale, so I can't find them online now. They are the same cotton mix as the Next ones and are a perfect fit on me. They are probably supposed to be cropped but I'm a shortie, so they are full length. So far they've washed really well but have only done so a couple of times so far.

I tried these on, they are a fab fit on me( 5'4, apple, longish legs) and looked great - unfortunately couldn't actually justify buying them at the time, think I will reconsider.

I just got some from Banana Republic and they fit well but had to go a size down as the US sizes are always cut on the large size.

I've got the second pair the OP linked to and they are really nice but I have to say they are a bit tight on the thigh. And my thighs are very normal-sized. I think it's because the trousers have zero stretch in them, which also means when you go up stairs the waistband sort of slides down.

However, for the price they are great trousers and I've kept them.

I ordered them as I get the Tall length, but they were very slim on the thigh...12 too small, 14 too big.
I ordered some similar ones with little zips at the top which fit better.
Although the grey are fine but the black we're too small.

I haven't actually worn them all day yet - they're for Venice at the end of the month (or at least a couple of them are) so not sure how they wear.

They are flat fronted and slim at the tummy.

I hope they wear and wash well because they're so lovely and such a classic to have and could be worn in so many ways.

The second pair I linked to are gorgeous. I got the black and the 'tan' colour and they're very dressy - nice cami, blazer, heels, bag - lovely

I love the gap ones. Black. 39 odd quid. Thick with loads of elastane and oddly the sizing us correct.
