Whats the quality of Lindy bop clothes like?

Has anyone bought any clothes from Lindy bop? I love vintage/50's style and buy a lot from Collectif,Lady vintage and Hell bunny. Someone on here mentioned Lindy bop and I have had a look.

Clothes look lovely but surprisingly cheap so am unsure of quality. Has anyone on here used them? Thanks.

Think it's quite good. My cousin buys quite a few bits from them and she wore one of their dresses as a bridesmaid dress recently. Looked fab in it too!

They have a good returns system so you could order and return if you're not happy.

I've got three of their dresses and they're all good quality especially for the money. I'm currently living in this one. www.lindybop.co.uk/lindy-bop-juliet-classy-red-polka-dot-vintage-ww2-landgirl-1940s-1950s-pinup-retro-tea-dress-1655-p.asp
There sizes are small though so go by the actual measurements that they list under the description.

Yes, the quality is fine. Similar to HellBunny and the like.

I have 4 and love them, my dad and my sister bought me the black and leopard print wiggle dress for my birthday and it's my favourite dress :) I think the bengaline ones are easily as good quality as Collectif. If you like them on Facebook you can use the code FACEBOOK10 to get 10% off each time :)

The swing dresses are mainly stretch cotton.

it was the low prices.that made me a bit suspicious of quality as collectif are twice the price.have ordered the emmeline wiggle dress and the polka dot swing dress.

Stephanie - the fabrics are different for each style. I've got the Nina in navy and it's a very light stretch cotton. I ordered one of the Landgirl style teadresses and the fabric was the most gorgeous stretch jersey with a silky sheen. To my great dismay the style didn't suit me at all so had to return it, such a shame.

I've also got a swing dress with 3/4 sleeves/polkadot fabric and that's almost a silk/taffeta effect fabric but softer (sorry not describing very well, but it is a manmade fabric). It's really nice although the swing dress is well below the knee which looks very frumpy on me so I'm getting it altered. But that's obviously personal taste.

Better made that Collectif, true to size if you use the measurement guidelines on the website too. I would definitely buy from them again.

Quality very good I have several dresses so far. Great styles and good enough for a special occasion...

I would rate them as far more consistent and long lasting than collectif. Very decent value. Not top end repro but worth the price.

Good! I got a dress from there for a vintage style party. I found the sizes big- I ordered the 10 and the 12, and even the 10 was a bit big (I am usually 10/12 depending on the shop). Returns were free and easy to do.

Hi just putting in my two pence. I bought a dress from there a week ago, I wasn't impressed. They look beautiful, classy & well made in the website. Unfortunately mine was a horrible dull stretchy material & was much bigger than my size.

If you are someone who wears good quality clothing you will see the poor quality straight away. I wanted mine for a wedding which is being held at a very exclusive resort so I sent it back straight away, defiantly not suitable for such an event.

Personally I wouldn't recommend.

I have an account with LindyBop as we use them for costumes at my dance school. I would say the quality varies from dress to dress. The Lana is amazing and great quality. But personally the thin cotton ones do look a bit cheap. HTH

Lady In the nicest possible way, what did you expect for the price? They're clearly a "high street" repro brand rather than a small handmade firm like Heyday. Good for what they're good for.
If you order a dress for an exclusive resort wedding if course you'll be disappointed. .. it would be like getting it from New Look or Dotty P's.

I've been so impressed with my Lindy Bop swing dress. It's a thick-ish stretch cotton, not at all dissimilar to my Vivien of Holloway one which was three times the price.
Can't recommend Lindy Bop enough!

I'm careful when I order and make sure I avoid the polyester dresses and have always been happy with my purchases.

I have two and was really impressed with the quality for the price. I have a floral Audrey( satin) and a floral print Ophelia(stretch cotton) - the belt on the Audrey was rubbish but I replaced it with a big elasticated one that's fab.

I like it. I'm a larger lady & have bought a few dresses including the one I wore to my bro's wedding. Will probably get another for next bro's wedding. Great for pear shapes. The made in Britain ones are lovely stretch Jersey fabric

I also bought 4 Lindy Bop dresses, but they didn't look as good as yours. I had to return all 4 of them, because the tailoring was awful. Customer service is also horrible. I'd advide everyone avoiding them.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality each time. I have a polka dot wiggle dress, red summer 'Audrey' dress and a black pencil skirt. Love them all. The pencil skirt gets worn most for work and has washed well. I like the fabric on all, so for the price I would definitely recommend.

I have one and the fit isn't great - there is far too much material around the shoulders/neck which makes it look a bit odd (like the dress's shoulders are higher than mine).

It was cheap and I've got a few wears out of it but I wouldn't be in a hurry to shop there again.

I also found the sizing small. I got a 14 and it's a bit tight - I'm normalluy a 12.
