Londoners - how much do you pay at the hairdresssers?
I once went to what was apparently a perfectly ordinary salon in the West End for highlights and a cut and was charged £289 plus £3.50 for the coffee . I was too shocked to complain at the time but I have told everyone I know not to go there. It wasn't particularly swanky inside, and there was nothing special about the colour or cut.
Between £50-£75 for wash cut and blow-dry, depending which "stylist" I plump for. It seems a lot of money, I tend to go every 3 or 4 months if I can get away with it. Ususally in there for a cople of ours so I guess it is not bad value.
I would love to find somewhere with that "I'm so worth it" type of vibe. It always feels very routine when I go thinking about it now.
About 80quid for highlights, cut and blow dry. Which is a lot cheaper than pay in Gloucester and a lot better. It's also easy to negotiate a price reduction on a blow dry if you look around, there are so many hairdressers in the area that there is healthy competition (Westminster)
