Help me find high waisted jeans like these (links!)
I'm having a problem fitting myself into jeans at the moment. I'm an 12 with a bit of a pot belly, tallish and I appear to have large thighs. I have deduced this by being unable to fit into most high street skinny jeans! By the time I get a pair that fit over my thighs the waist band and hips will be far too big. I like the look of these but one of the reviews mentions a thigh measurement of 15". Mine are 20" so they're out
I then had the idea of trying some plus size type shops, so I ordered these in a 14 but they're far too big all over.
I must have tried on hundreds of pairs. All I want is a blue pair and maybe a coloured pair. Hell, if they fit me I'd buy every colour going! Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas which shops might cater for me?
You need new look soft stretch skinny high waisted jeans http://www.newlook.com/shop/inspire-plus-sizes/shop-department/inspire-red-high-waisted-supersoft-skinny-jeans-_271156760 Mine are a 12 and fir great even if I'm more of a 14 atm
New look tend to be true to size. I'm a large 16 sometimes an 18 and I fit in their skinny jeans. I have a much smaller waist than hips but find the new look ones fit both easily. They have a variety of leg lengths, lots of styles and lots of different colours in at the minute as well.
Definitely go in store and try on as many styles as you can. They are one of the better places for inexpensive jeans though. They have lots of nice colours in at the minute as well as standard black and blue. Hope you find something that fits
Have you tried Gap? I tried on some of their high waist skinnies recently and thought they were quite generous around the thigh (and I am not skinny of thigh lol) Have to admit they weren't quite doing it for me but not sure why, fit just didn't seem quite right for me.
I haven't tried Gap recently. I have an old pair of Curvy Straight bought at the Gap outlet. They're a good fit for the first hour that you wear them then they get larger and larger and need much hoiking up!
