i have those in blue, i don't find them quite as comfy as people say they are, and the fit is quite wide, but i do wear them a lot in the summer.

I love them - I buy a new pair every year (sometimes two !) & wear them thoughout summer & on all holidays - really comfortable.

I think though they are like marmite - you either love or hate them.

I love my Birkenstocks. So comfy (once you've worn them in) and I wear them to death in the 'summer'.

Those are nice and will go with everything, I'd get them.

I like them! Super comfy.

I can't get on with that style. The gizeh ones, however, are rarely off my feet in summer. I love them. It's only fair to warn you that there is no way back though. Once you have worn Birkenstocks, pretty much all other sandals and flip flops feel horribly uncomfortable.

I like mine.. they are wide though.

Check your sizing - iirc they come up large.

They are very practical, will be buying them for a trip to Tunis. Will also get some wear out of them for my summer job.

My friend had some lovely tan gizehs which I would so copy but I can't find them anywhere.

I looked at those last saturday and think I'll get them - I know they're not the most beautiful sandal but had pair once before and they are sooo comfy when it hits 30°

I live in them in the summer. Mainly because they are the only sandals I have found which don't rub. Who wants to be too hot AND have blisters on their feet?
Just bought a pair of white madrids to add to my collection.

You can order them narrow. I have a silver pair. I was thinking of getting another pair, but thought it a bit excessive - TheSecondComing really? You must live somewhere hot?!

I live in them, have four pairs of 'relax' ones that are similar to the madrids, but i found them narrower.

i have to have arch support (plantar fasciitis prob) so they are great.

I have cerise, white, silver and black. hth

tk max often have them in

Love mine! I have them in purple. I would break them in though - wear them round the house with socks on .. I had to make an unplanned long walk in mine the first or second time I wore them and my feet were in bits! Once they're broken in, they are very comfy. (Although mine do tend to get a bit smelly too Blush - is it just me?!)

DD has banned me from buying a pair this summer. She alleges they are granny shoes.

I love them, got about six pairs in different colours. Love the patent best. My only complaint is they (well mine, anyway) get a bit smelly towards the end of summer. I'm hoping its because I'm always greasing up my feet with cream as I have a deep loathing of cracked heels. Agree TK Maxx is a good place to buy them. I saw a lady wearing turquoise patent ones last summer in France and would love a pair like that this year. BTW my family hate them and call them 'Mummy's Beaverbrooks'. Weirdos.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one with smelly sandals.

I love mine! Also a plantar fascitis sufferer.

I am a 6 and had to get a 5 as they do come up big. Not granny shoes at all.

Smelly sandals? Stick them in a back in the freezer for 24 hours. Freezing kills the smelly bacteria...so I have heard! never tried

I must be the only person on earth who can't get them to stay on my feet. I was constantly tripping over the pair I had and they took forever to wear in, oh the blisters. I stick to my trusty Reefs now.

If you are a costco member they usually get them in about this time of year. I have a few pairs and they are so comfy. I hated them at first, but they work in summer. The black ones and about 6 pairs of havianas are my staple 'summer' footwear.

And the person who does my pedicures said they are the best to slip on and off and not touch varnish. Grin

I love them, have a few pairs of Madrid. I can't wear toe posts.
You can get a wider fit so take care on which ones you buy.
