I used to be an aerobics instructor and was always very slim and toned, however since having my youngest child nearly 4 years ago I've really let myself go.
I'm probably a size 12 now, which at 5ft 4 isn't big but I'm just so untoned and flabby, and am fed up with disliking my body, so I've decided to really try hard to tone up and get back to a size 8 for the summer.
I've got a cross trainer machine at home so I'm going to use it each day, starting with 20 minutes and building up to longer. I'm also going to do the Davina McCall workout DVD every other day at least, as I've had great results from it in the past.
I'm not dieting as such, but I am cutting right back on bread, and being a bit careful. I am so sick of not liking what I see in the mirror, I'm really determined to look good in a bikini on holiday this year!
Don't be daft! Being slim doesn't mean you can't be flabby or lack tone. There may be less of me to wobble but wobble it does . Part of my issue is that I slimmed down from a size 20 (was an 8 my entire adult life until pregnant with DS1....by month 7 I was wearing size 16 maternity wear . ). That was all 12 years ago but my skin has never quite recovered.
Oh, no, not saying you can't be wobbly. But just that toning and losing a good few stone are a bit different. I can tone, but I still need to lose a few stone. Just a different enterprise. One can be done in a month or two, and the other is (ahem) sadly a longer feat.
That's not to say you don't need a thread - just that I need a different one lol!
