This may seem like a daft question but I never really know where to shop and worry about looking mutton or old before my time.

What shops are good for the following age groups for casual and smart.

Under 25

25-35

35-45

45-55

55-65

65-75

75+

Thanks Smile

I dont think it is as narrow as that. Most high street shops target the under 25s as they still have their youthful looks Wink and more disposable income. I think top shop, new look and Jane Norman fall into this category.

M&S tends to be a brand trusted by the older generation, based on their past reputation. BHS also target this market.

Next is probably more for 25+ people with families as you can pick up something for everyone there

Generally speaking, I think you can shop in most places at any age, you just need to have a good look.

Thanks. What do you think about stores like Oasis, Warehouse and French Connection? I like their clothes but worry if I'm too old at 40?

I also like Laura Ashley but wonder if I'm too young!

I think places like Oasis, French Connection and Warehouse have clothes to suit lots of ages really, just depending on your style and what you choose. I'd wear some things in Laura Ashley myself and I'm 25, though not everything! Although I don't think there's a single shop that exists where I love absolutely everything they sell.

I think oasis, warehouse and FC are fine for your age, which incidentally is not old.

As I reach my mid 30s I've realised I can shop anywhere as long as I am happy with the fit and quality of each garment.
