Natural, matt lipstick

Just that, really. I hate shine but prefer some nice matt colours.
I'd like a healthy pink one, not bright, but just a shade above my natural lip colour. I'd also like a slightly duskier pink - years ago I used to buy one made by Rimmel and it had blue hues to it, which suited my skin tone, especially when tanned. Any ideas?

Try nars dolce vita Matt pencil, I also wear mac twig and blot it, or bobbi brown nude and blot

Revlon mauve it over might suit ( although it makes me look dead)

Bobbi Borown's Creamy Matte Lip Colour in Tawny Pink or True Pink.

I really like Lipstick Queen Rose Sinner, they do a lovely range of other matte colours too.

It would appear I am after the exact same colour lipstick but I also want long wear. I do have the Revlon ColourStay in Iconic Iris which is a little too strong, I think I meant to buy Mauve but picked Iconic by mistake. Anyway, staying powder is great. Now colourwise, I have Bobby Brown's Pale Pink (21), which is absolutely beautiful, but has no more than 5 minute staying power. Expensive lipstick too. I won't be buying it again.

Maybelline 14hr lipsticks have great staying power and are less than a tenner.

Ooh some great advice here. Maybelline always struck me as a bit shiney/pearlised/glossy though.

Wish the old Rimmel shade would return. As taken as I am with these new suggestions, they're too costly for me Sad

Revlon one is only a little bit more than Rimmel and Boots often have offers !!!

The 14hr ones aren't shimmery.

Shimmery lipstick is EVIL.

I like Rimmel Vintage Pink. It is matte and good for every day. Some pictures online make it look a bit bright but I find it quite muted and a pretty colour.

Fantastic everyone. I'm duly cheered up at the prospect of some new lippy.
Have made notes and I shall go armed into Boots on the weekend hopefully.
Squoosh - I agree. Evil, evil stuff

Rimmel Asia is a pinky nude.

If you like Rimmel the Kate Moss range has a matte nude one shade 03 I think.

Kate moss matte lipsticks for Rimmel also has a nude but this is a strong pink nude. Might be worth a shot. I wear the darkest red and the formulation is excellent as is the staying power.

The best nude lipstick ive tried is by Une, Sheer lips balm in S07. Organic as well (I think!)

Two of the kate moss for rimmel lipsticks- number 19 and i THINK number 8 (probably number 8 for you, it's slightly cooler). both HAVE to be tried on if at all possible, don't just look at them in the tube - they do that weird thing of looking very different on actual lips. I also agree with others that nars dolche vita is brilliant, and bobbi brown 'blue raspberry' or 'nude'. I use all of these plus lots of others (including my new love: hourglass in 'vintage'.)

I'd go for colouring in your lips with a pencil. I love the Rimmel ones.
