A variation on the 'what are you wearing threads'? Curious to know what people actually use day to day - products/brands etc

I am wearing:
Clinque city block 25 (which is a great primer IMO)
Boots No 7 Lift and Illuminate Foundation (the second palest one)
Boot No 7 Soft Damson blusher
Bobbi Brown 'Bisque' concealer (amazing stuff)
Revlon Lipbutter 'Candy Apple' (love it Thanks to all who recommended it on various threads)

I don't do anything with eyes for daytime.

Dainty Doll foundation shade 3
Dainty doll concealer under eyes shade 2
Dainty doll blusher colour 2
Dainty doll mascara in brown
YSL palette couleurs d'afrique on eyes
Power Pout in Runway - MUA

Sounds like a lot but I apply very lightly so that my face is not overwhelmed with colour

La Roche Posay tinted moisturiser SPF50
No7 sheer lipstick in 'Excite' which is like a sheer red.

Am a SAHM and my day-to-day vanity is more about maintenance and protection than looking good during the week iyswim. Unless I'm truly looking and feeling shit or meeting glam mummy friends, in which case I trowel it on.

i only ever wear primer and foundation day to day - smashbox (rubbish, won't buy again) and chanel vitalumiere (the absolute bomb, won't use anything else)

Report
YoniOno · 17/04/2013 13:31

Foxy do you not need blusher / highlighter / bronzer or anything if you do foundation? I'm a bit all or nothing when it comes to makeup though. I feel like if I wear foundation, I've erased any natural variation of colour from my cheeks and need to put some back.

Armani maestro foundation
The Balm hot mama blusher - yes really
Autograph taupe eyeshadow
Clinique chubby eye thing in latte
Lancome jazzy taupe eyeliner
Autograph mascara
Revlon lip butter in red velvet

Have run out of concealer as would normally have some of that on too. Takes about 3 mins to put it all on.

Avene Skin Recovery Cream;
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation;
Benefit Boi-ing concealer;
No7 Translucent Powder;
No7 Candy Pink blusher;
No7 Lash Adapt mascara;
Avon Supershock Gel Pencil Eyeliner in Blackberry (which is excellent, even though I bought it and then forgot about it for nearly a year);
Carmex cherry lipbalm.

Really happy with all of it - very light and comfortable to wear, and I find the colours very subtle and flattering for my pale but olive-toned skin.

'La Roche Posay tinted moisturiser SPF50'

YoniOno, I've just started using this. Do you rate it? Do you apply it more than once a day?

Report
foxysocks · 17/04/2013 13:41

no - I use just enough foundation to smooth out my skin tone. sometimes mix a small blob of the foundation with hocus focus (S&G) to make it even more sheer. I am naturally reddish in the cheeks (ugh) so blusher is really not necessary!

I reapply it halfway through the day. I like it better than City Block, I find the orangeyness warms me up a little and City Block gave me a whitish cast and felt greasy. I wouldn't say it's perfect, but I haven't tried that many tinted moisturisers and for me the main draw was the ultra high SPF. It doesn't clog my pores either or sting my eyes. What do you think of it?

Garnier BB cream (fair)
MAC concealer
MAC prep and prime finishing powder
Pink vaseline on lips

After reading the 'wealthy' and 'Parisian chic' threads talking about very natural makeup I've been giving it a whirl.
