Dungarees?

Dear god, I think I may have finally lost the plot.

So I'm perusing the DM sidebar of shame that's a crime in itself with a cup of tea after the school run and I come across the horrors of Liz Jones in a pair of dungarees and a cowboy hat when I catch myself quite liking the idea of a pair for the summer

I think they could look quite nice with a fitted white t shirt

m.asos.com/mt/www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-Dark-Wash-Denim-Dungaree/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2769578&SearchQuery=dungaree&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=12&sort=-1&clr=Washedindigo

Am now obsessed with finding the perfect pair and need to get them out of my system

So, would you? Could you? Should I be kicked out of style and beauty with a flea in my ear?

I have a guilty penchant for dungarees Blush. But I don't think they will ever be stylish!

I had a pair in dark blue chunky cord when I was 21 and working in a car parts factory. I used to wear them with a tight little t-shirt and my hair in plaits Grin it absolutely worked at that age and in that situation and I stand by that!

Don't think I would risk it now Grin

Tried on a pair in Zara the other day. They were OK, but I sort of felt like Willard out of Footloose. Those ASOS ones are less distressed than the pair I tried and look better I think. I'm tempted!

I'm doing the basket dance with them.

Am really tempted by them and the only way I'll get then out of my head is to order them, try them, DH will dissolve in to hysterics, I'll realise how ridiculous they look then send them back

I'd be tempted, tbh.

I also love dungarees (apart from when i was pg) and bought a similar pair a couple of years ago which i wear at the wend (if i know i wont be seeing anyone special!) also with white tshirt and messy hair.

I'm not sure why dungarees fascinate me so much actually!

Seriously, step away from the dungarees! They will do you no favours!

I'm also doing the basket dance with dungarees. I would love to know how you get on, Freddie. I think dungarees are having a fashion moment again- there's a few articles about it and its a progression from the playsuit. I think they have to have taped ankles though to look really of the moment as opposed to Fergie in the 80s!
Anyway I am not sure as I am size 14 and curvy...

I have the Zara dungarees. I haven't worn them yet but will soon with a fitted top.

Well, they arrived and I actually quite like them but have decided they're not quite tapered enough of the leg

They're just too loose, and had the elephant arse problem I've been having with boyfriend jeans so the ASOS ones are going back

I do like then though, just need a more fitted pair

You've got really good legs though monkeysmama, my problem with the Zara ones was that they enhanced my thunder thighs. Not good. May try these ASOS ones!

I have been secretly longing to recreate this look, but I too am thunderous of thigh, and somehow I don't think I'd look quite as polished as the lovely Tiffany as I tottered through the school run in the sort of full-on monsoon we have been experiencing lately Hmm

I almost bought a pair today. I'm a pg mother of one at the brink of 30. I don't care--I MUST get a pair and wear them till I just cant justify them anymore.

I quite like Tiffany's look! In my head, that's what I'll look like, although I'm several years longer in the tooth and spend my time refereeing fights between my 7 and 11 year olds, walking the dog and helping at school - I suspect I'm going to look ridiculous

Am now on the hunt for a slightly more fitted pair, less baggy in the bum and more tapered in the leg
