What skincare/make-up have you worn and been complimented when wearing it?

If that makes sense. Lots of products feel nice on or we think we look nicer for wearing them, but what ones have you tried where you've then had compliments from people?

I've had them when wearing:

  • Max Factors Stretch mascara (obv about how long my lashes were) - don't even know if they still make it (I was 16, a LONG time ago)
  • And length of lashes after using Rapidlash serum.

Anyone else? Reason for asking is I have Boots vouchers and want to buy some new recommended products Grin that I don't need

Ah that might go on the list then as primer is one thing I've never tried

The Boots No7 version of through chubby stick is my favourite. Been wearing it about a week and have had a couple of compliments. (i don't often wear lipstick for work as I find it heavy). I still love the original chubby stick but at £9 I thought I'd try the Boots one.

Oh and the No7 cleanse and polish is great too. Not as gentle as the Eve Lot one but great for the price. I haven't tried much No7 before but had some vouchers and they are my two favourite products so far.

I usually wear MAC foundation but found an old tube of Garnier BB cream and slapped that on instead, just with fingers. I got so many comments on how well I looked that day I've worn it every day since!

St Moritz fake tan mousse is also a good match for my pinky toned skin so doesn't make me orange, just takes the glare off a bit.

Quite like the sound of the smashbox primer

Haven't tried the garner bb cream either, that's another one for the list!

Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream - was told my skin looked all glowy and smooth (it's normally dry and dull)

Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara - someone thought I was wearing false lashes

I've got two more to add to the list - loccitane divine serum and cream. My mum started using them recently and I've never seen her skin look so amazing.

Costs a bomb mind...

I usually wear BB foundation, that ran out so I've just got a BB tinted moisturizer on, I got told I looked awful and extremely tired today and was I feeling ok?

I've had several compliments on my new lipstick, Material World by Dainty Doll. It's a soft muted pinky colour and it's my lips but better I think.

And Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant (a mask you wear for 10-15 mins). A skincare consultant said I had really good skin the day after I'd used it. I find it much better than the Elemis Papaya Enzyme cream which was great at shrinking/cleaning pores but gave me sensitive red patches.

My Mum and 2 best friends all commented that I looked really well when I wore the Garnier BB tinted moisturiser. Hardly ever wear any foundation type thing. (However...all 3 of them then went and purchased it and none of them liked it at all.....sat too heavily/wrong colour. Now I have all their tubes too! Grin)

I recently bought my daughter the loreal BB cream and it looks lovely on her, however she has youthful beautiful skin so that is not hard.

I have a Dior Bb cream which is good.

I also complimented a friend on her lightly rosy, healthy glow cheeks, which were the result of Clinique uplighting liquid illuminator in Blush. Very flattering.

I bought some Benetint after seeing it on her too. Easy to use, subtle glow.

Benetint is brilliant. I don't remember being complimented on it, but often get asked if I'm ill when I'm not wearing it!

I often get asked if I am ill when I have no makeup on. I take that as a compliment on my good makeup skills rather than my poor skin. Grin

DiorSkin BB cream--apparently I look like I'm '21' not my much older age. Pictures of me wearing it are in my pictures section.

Dior Lip Maximiser under my nude-ish lipstick...and DiorShow Mascara.

I'm a big dior fan.
