Spotty back issues

So, at the age of 47 I really thought I would be past this but I have got a spotty back lately. All my tops seem to be low cut at the back and I can't wear them. I seem to have several spots 'under the skin' so not that bad but also a couple of bright red angry big ones. What could be causing it and how should I treat them? Have been using a back scrubby thingy and dabbing with tea tree oil if I can reach (no partner to reach for me) but it doesn't seem to be getting better.

I'm suffering with annoying skin on my back for the first time too, I am blaming the weather!

It might be worth swapping out whatever you use in the bath/shower for a sulfate-free product. Good brands to try are Weleda, the 'Naked' range in Boots, Green People, Burt's Bees. Naked is the cheapest out of these.

How high up are the spots? Could it be your hair sitting against your back? Or washing powder?

Could it be shampoo/conditioner that you've changed recently?

Also could you try a body scrub and maybe hydrocortisone? I know that works for me when I get a couple of spots on my chest from time to time.

And a helpful spare person.

Becuase otherwise you could crick your neck, hurt your shoulder and still bloody miss bits.

Other than that, the thing is amazing.

Use of rest of self too. Top to toe. Very good for reducing ingrowing hair bumps on legs as well.

Be careful in the vicinity of fuffy bits when using in a full body attack in the shower. Don't want any accidental microfibrescopic dermabrasion of lady gardens blamed on me.

Make sure you wash your body after your hair. I wash my hair and then tie it up to make sure I get all the conditioner off my back

Thanks for replies. I have short hair so it's not that, using same shampoo and conditioner too. Will try a different body wash, currently using soap and glory. Not heard of dermaflannel, just googled it and it looks good but is out of stock at bravuralondon. Anywhere else I can get one? Oh, and will have to get hold of a 'helpful spare person'

Magnesium Sulphate paste ( around £2 from Boots) for the angry ones and Zineryt lotion ( prescription, eBay or amazon) all over.
