H&M shenanigans

I know this has been said before but I 've been having some dealings with h&m customer services (or so they call themselves) re. some online refunds after returning items over two weeks ago.

Anyhow, that process is ongoing but rather than any sort of apology I got a telling off for using a £5 off discount code which is apparently only intended for valued customers (of which I clearly am not) and not for hoi polloi like me! Apparently if I use it again I will have my order cancelled. It's okay, I assured them I wouldn't be shopping with them again and also suggested that they withdraw the (freely available on countless discount code sites) code.

However if you fancy chancing your luck with the rubbishness that is h&m customer services , please do google and use as many discount codes as you possibly can! Grin
Rant over.

Yep - I've just come off the phone to HM for the fifth time after they cancelled an order and kept the money.

Again.

Crikey they are appalling. When things eventually get despatched they don't turn up. I've been over charged on P&P too. God knows if they made the refund. I've had outstanding orders disappear online before my eyes.

Thanks for the reminder - I need to chase them for the order I placed in Feb.

I HATE H&M online. They are awful. I had a very long dispute with them a year ago regarding delivery charges, out of stocks, not town ruin how file offing awful their website and customer service is, and they couldn't have given a shiny shit.

I still order with them though as I find their stores chaotic and a bit filthy, and I fully take advantage of all the £5 off vouchers where possible. If they can't keep track, then their loss.

Pitt cos I do actually like their stuff for dd, it's cheap and fits her well when they actually have it in stock

Good to hear it's not just me. I would return to their stores rather than risk return by post but they don't give proper refund if you do it that way and the nearest store is 15 miles away anyway. Oh well, learnt my lesson.

Something I returned to Gap the following week was refunded and in my account within a few days.

The £5 off code was sent to me in a letter when I complained about a teatowel with a spelling mistake as a gesture of goodwill in June 2011 (just looked it up, am not sad enough to remember lol). Presumably the same code is given to everyone as I've seen it in many places on the internet. They could easily get around it by giving unique codes but have chosen not to so while it's in play...

I really dislike H&M. They make it so hard to shop online and so few of the clothes are well made. A vest i bought faded terribly after just a couple of washes, and all the seams are coming undone. It's disposable fashion at its worst. There may be the odd gem but really I don't want to support that type of retailer at all anymore.

Fairylea - all their stuff comes from Sweden. They don't have warehouses in the UK. Hence why things take about a year to be delivered.....
