I am a pro at this. My natural skintone is blue so I get a pale golden spray tan every time is go on hols and feel soooooo much better about myself.

What part of the country are you in? If you're near London I can recommend some places.

Here are my application methods in order of preference:
- beautician applies spray tan (clear winner)
- beautician applies tanning lotion
- apply lotion yourself
- automated booth spray tan (never again)

Get your waxing done 24-48 hrs before the spray tan. Exfoliate loads the week of the spray tan. Do not apply moisturiser the day of the spray tan.

Then for sun cream, don't buy any with insect repellant in as this is normally DEET which erodes the tan (and nail varnish).
The best sun cream I got this year was a boots soltan invisible non-greasy spray which almost seemed to glue my tan in place.

I'd have a pro do it, you don't want any accidents with fake tan.

Plus some salons do a 2 for 1 offer so you can have one when you start to fade after the holiday too.
