Where oh where did my shopping nous go?

Back in the day, when I was single and childless, I was very good at shopping. Ruthlessly efficient, in fact. But now I have a husband and two children, and no time. Not even time to read magazines and think about what I might like to buy if I had the time to go and get it. My nous has deserted me.

I need black, navy or dark grey work clothes (suits-skirt or trouser, and chic outfits for slightly less formal days e.g. dresses) and I need smart shoes. Nothing short, nothing red, navy heels and black flats (formal). I'll go up to £300 for a suit. I like Jaeger, Cos, Gerard Darel, and Pure Collection, but I can't seem to find anything there at the moment.

Please come and help me, I feel in desperate need of a fashion intervention.
