Trousers - style advice please....I need to get out of jeans

I need some advice please...

I usually wear jeans everywhere. Smart jeans, casual jeans, black, blue, grey, print....with flats, with heels...with anything!

We are going away with my parent next week to a very smart hotel (in the sun) and I know that whatever the dress code and however much I smarten up the jeans my parents will not want to see me in them every evening!

I don't know where to start with trousers (a skirt is just scary!!

I'm 5'3, size 10 (sometimes 12) and shop in mostly local boutiques, Zara, all saints, Donna Ida, Selfridges....

I don't know what sort of trousers would look good or are in fashion.... any suggestions please?

I have a free day Saturday so can go shopping :)
