Can you recommend a good mascara? There are so many on the market I'm going mad. Volume and length x

I like Too-Faced's Lashlight but it does dry out relatively quickly.

Just bought Benefit's They're Real which is quite good though I think I'll probably go back to Too-Faced when this one is done.

Would avoid No 7 Fanomenal which was sold to me as their most popular but so far is clumpy shit :(

I love Hypnose, you can layer it really easily.

Phenomen'eyes by Givenchy is great if you have twenty minutes to apply it. They're Real by Benefit is the best for a normal amount of application time.

Falsies by Maybelline (the one in the purple tube). I've tried loads, and this is the best one. Pretty cheap too!

Hi
Thanks so much.
Is hypnotic by loreal?

How come you have to apply the givenchy one so much.

I have used the benefit one before. It's not that great for me but maybe I'm not applying it well ? Xx

Max factor 1000 calories,I used ones that cost twice as much and this one is the one I love the most.

Max factor false lash mascara (I'm not sponsored by max factor today but I have recommended on another thread too).

I got that bright pink maybelline one that is meant to be amazing and was very disappointed, however.

I have the soap and glory one, I forget what its called, but I really like it.

The Givenchy one has a mascara wand made for ants.

But it is beautiful when you have the time to painstakingly paint each individual lash.

Max factor 1000 calories here too. It's very reasonably priced and I love the results.

I wouldn't pay more than a tenner for mascara. I have in the past in the quest for The One and have been completely disappointed.

I like Clinique Naturally Glossy mascara for a natural look. I have long lashes and find this makes them look darker and fuller without lengthening them and making them look fake - some lengthening mascaras make me look like a doll and the ends of my lashes get stuck in my eyebrows!

Another Lancôme Hypnose fan here.

Used combo of l'oreal voluminous and max factor false lash effect waterproof for years now and whenever I get tempted by something else I kick myself. Curl, voluminous, let dry, do cereal/toast whatever, curl again and set it with a coat of false lash effect. Previously used Max Factor Aqua Lash as top coat, also brilliant. All cheap as you like. Take it all off with baby oil.

I've used Hypnose and various Maybellines, but I've just started using this wrinkleregime.com/dream-weave-mascara.htm
It's early days but it is giving me the appearance of longer lashes and the online reviews are pretty good.

Rommel lash accelerator is great. Doesn't clump or dry out for months, and comes in brown/black if you are fair. I really miss l'oreal anything in brown though.

Maybe line Great Lash is shit. Like black poster paint.

Max Factor is the brand I go back to for mascara - either False Lash Effect or 2000 Calories. Effective, simple brushes, doesn't flake, usually in some kind of offer.

I always go back Max Factor 2000 Calorie or their Masterpiece Max.

The girl who does my nails swapped to Max Factor from YSL Faux Effect because she said she liked how my lashes looked, and has since converted a lot of her other clients to it.

Also 2000 Calorie is the 2nd highest rated mascara on Makeup Alley (the first being a brand called Jordana which I think you can get on Amazon).

I've not tried Jordana (the bad reviews put me off - despite the fact there were in the minority!) It's cheap though.

I can second loreal voluminous. The only time my husband has noticed my lashes and commented asking if they were real.
