Swimsuits for the Small-of-Boob

So I think I've got the bra thing sorted, but I have yet to find a bathing suit that doesn't render me looking like a pre-teen boy. Everything I've tried seems to make me look flatter than ever . Any recommendations?

I was pondering this exact thing today as I have the same issue.

For bikinis I stick with triangle halter neck style, which is relatively flattering. My problem is finding something flattering for when I do lengths. I usually go for Speedo Endurance type swimsuits, which flatten me completely and I'm very self-conscious of it. I wonder if there are any halter neck sporty swimsuits.

Between us perhaps we can find something!

Great swimsuit! But on me it would reveal a massive expanse of bony chest and not the fab cleavage the model has :(

My flat chest is the only thing I would change about my body, and in that I suppose I am lucky!

I had a look at Marksies and baulked at some of the simmers on there.

Anyway, asos has some interesting choices. Here is a white number with a peplum; if you are as slim and gazelle-like as I'm picturing it could be a good choice. This Esprit one is nice and has padded cups. This is an Ultimo one although unsure if you want to look like the prow of a ship. There are others which would lovely, but doubtful you'd be one of the 0.5% of the population that would be happy to spend £90+ on a cossie!

Look for something with separate pieces of material for the body and bust. Some swimsuits are one piece of material and stretchy so they pull down and flatten you out.

I do like halter necks usually but they have to fit just right, I find, otherwise they make the problem worse. I like all the Asos ones...I spend a lot of time in the pool with the kids in the summer so I suppose if it was a really good quality one, I wouldn't mind spending a good chunk of change on it. What is their quality like?

I like the practicality of a Speedo for laps too, naturelover but agree...they look terrible on my deflated chest (Thank you breastfeeding ).

I'm thinking the MaxCleavage gel ones might be the best bet (other than a boob job). What happens to them in the water though? Knowing me, I'd end up being the star of an unintentional comedy moment . Has anyone tried one?

Pseudonymity I know what you mean about separate pieces of material, but my problem is that I end up with puckering around the "shaped for boob" bit where I lack the boobs to actually fill the shape...

My other problem is I'm very long in the body and some one pieces are so low cut that they actually come below nipple.... while cutting me in half. Or to get a suit long enough I have to get such a big size that it's baggy! Hence I always end up with a Speedo.

I guess I'll keep looking.

I hate the padded cups on swimming costumes. They look awful :(

I bought a gel shaped bikini from la senza last year. It's a halter shape and with the gel provides some fullness. My lack of clevage still makes me look like a man in drag but its the best I've found so far, fines got frils on it which detracts slightly from the zero clevage

I am the same, its taken me ages to find something that works. I get the Next tankinis, which have lightly padded ruched cups. Interested to see other replies too.

I recommend padded (but soft and thin pads to avoid fake boob syndrome), halterneck 50s style bikinis - Toast do some thick good polka dot ones that are usually reduced in the sale. They aren't too skimpy either! Finding them was a huge boost to my confidence!

The one called 'contrast trim' which is quite sporty looking is very ling in the body. I got it for taking my children swimming.
