What deodorant/anti-perspirant do use and why?

I can't pick a good deodorant, they just don't work as good as they say on the tin and strangely it's worse as soon as I've put it on. I'd really like to know what ones everyone else think works best.

I use Mitchum powder fresh roll on when I do exercise classes. For day to day use I like Vaseline intensive care roll on or the cream one (when I cant be bothered waiting for the roll on to dry). I also like the Dove cream (original). I carry a spray about with me which is normally dove or vaseline intensive care.

I'm an avid Mitchum fan too. I, along with all the women in our family, am very damp under the arms and until I found Mitchum, I had never had a dry pit day!!! Shock

I use it every day. My skin under my arms isn't the most amazing but anything else leaves me damp sadly.

Another vote for Mitchum. I use the spray. I have a quick walk, a sweaty commute, and often a sprint across a large station during my morning commute and it keeps me dry!

I think the trick to making it stick might be as simple as waiting a few minutes before getting dressed.

Another Mitchum fan here too.

Like previous posters it's the only one I have found keeps me feeling dry.

Mitchum!

Sure or Dove. I have very sensitive skin and find they are the only ones that don't irritate me. I am very sweaty due to medication and they usually keep me dry and fresh unless I have been doing anything particularly strenuous.

Mitchum too.
Dove makes me smell very peculiar.

Mitchum spray. Any flavour. Keeps me dry except on very hot / hormonal days. Not too bad for white marks. Often on offer.

Omg! all these votes for Mitchum. I use the Mitchum stick. It doesn't put white marks on my clothes, it is unscented but doesn't smell unpleasant like some unscented products do, and it can cope with my hot flushes!

Mitchum does nothing for me Sad

Sanex 48hr or Sure 48 hr. TBH, the Sure ones have always suited me best and don't irritate. My DD 1 needs the Sanex though.
Confused at the 48hr thing - as if you would generally be going 48hrs between washes!

Mitchum here too - had no idea it was so popular!

I used to be a huge Mitcham fan too, but for some reason I don't sweat half as much as I did when I was younger. It's brilliant stuff.

But now I just use the Sure solid stick.

Ha! I said Mitcham!

That's a town just up the road from here, and I'm not that keen on it tbh...Grin

Soooo, perfume under the arms in winter so if I get warm at least it smells good. And going to try Botox in the summer, if it's ok to have while bf. If not, Triple Dry Smile

Mitchum here too. Think I discovered it looking for an unscented deodorant to wear on a special occasion when I didn't want to risk clashing with my new perfume, and was blown away by how much better it was than the brands I've been using until then (Sure, Dove, Right Guard) - no white marks / armpit crust / 'greasy' stains appearing on my clothes any more, and armpits stay dry and clean-smelling all day even when it's hot

Mitchum as well as being a reliable deodorant has the added benefit, surprisingly, of being not tested on animals

Mitchum used to work brilliantly for me but it seemed to stop working, and made my pits smell weird Hmm after about 6 years of using it.

I now use Sure Crystal as it doesn't leave white marks on clothes. I do wonder if you become immune to anti-persps over time - anyone else find that?

Used to swear by Mitchums until I found it caused yellow stains on light clothes, now I use Nivea Invisible which protects from yellow stains and white marks. Have not had the issue since.

I've tried everything! have used Sanex spray for years (10+) but have recentley discovered Mitchum spray shower fresh. Main reason for switching was ££- mitchum is £1.29 from Savers! Can't fault it- I have v sensitive skin and am very prone to rashes but Mitchum does it for me.

Mitchum never seemed to work well for me (must have strange skin)! I always use the sure ones that aren't supposed to leave white marks.
