Revitalash - HOW MUCH????????? is there a more cost effective alternative?

or is this one worth it?

im pretty narked - i got eyelash extensions on Friday evening. By Monday morning i had lost most from one eye, and several from the other. it looked daft.

i phoned them first thing monday. Got back in today and they suggested removing the others as they are breaking my own lashes - my own lashes are recovering from cluster lashes that i had for a night out in February....but i told the therapist i was worried that my lashes may not withstand extensions. She said they should be fine and went ahead anyway.

The procedure was on offer, but normally costs £60. Im a regular at thsi salon and have been for years - i asked for a refund but only got a partial refund due to the cost of materials and the therapists time. i accepted around half my money back. (dh says thats ridiculous, they were meant to last 2 weeks and lasted 2 days - but ive agreed it now, and dont want to cause a fuss)

I had decided to build up my own lashes to their former glory and went in search of something to do that, but revitalash is so expensive! ive lost money on crappy extensions that lasted 2 days, is there anything else out there that would build and strengthen my eyelashes?

Nothing that I've managed to find. The salon should have warned you the extensions may not last - it completely depends on where you are in the hair growing cycle (yup, eyelashes have this too) so there is always the risk of getting extensions applied JUST as your own eyelashes are due to shed. It sounds like that's what's happened to me, as not all of them have come off. If they'd been applied incorrectly I think a lot more or most of them would have fallen off. I'd just chalk it up to experience really. Sorry.

Extensions ruined my eyelashes, I use Rapidlash every night now and they are lovely and long again.

I take brewers yeast and sea kelp to aid hair growth generally.

eBay do it cheap, I got mine off amazon but it was £21 at the time and they want £38 now.

Is Latisse/Lumigan available in the UK? May be cheaper and more effective?

I have been using Revitalash for a couple of weeks now and not seen any difference yet. I try and remember to use it every night but sometimes i forget and its every other night. Im hoping in a couple of more weeks im going to have some improvement and have long thick lashes. Has anyone heard of anyone use it and not get any results? I did have a look at other brands but ended up trying this one first also im too scared to get lash extentions incase they all fall out with my own lashes! Shock

The eyedrops my mum has for glaucoma have given her the most incredible lashes, so long and thick, it's ridiculous! Not that this is of any use to you, really.

Revitalash was invented by a USA Opthamologist for his DW when she lost her eyelashes through illness. It can darken eyecolour (apparently) but I didn't find this

I bought a Revitalash/Revitabrow duo a couple of years ago and they made a huge difference to my very sparse (overplucked) eyebrows and my frankly rubbish eyelashes BUT it is temporary in as much as the lashes fakk out and you need to continue through each hairs cycle.
You can reduce to 2xweekly as a maintenance once you have the results.
Personally, I found it took 3+ months to really notice.

I might buy some more I reckon.

Vaseline does the job if you apply at night time.
