How do I deal with this eye lid zit?!

I have a huge spot right under the skin on my eyelid, it could be an in grown hair but it's not red at all, just a big painful lump, it rose up from nowhere over the course of last night. It is making me look like I have been on the receiving end of a kicking!

What can I do to it? Have a training shift at my new (customer facing) job on Weds, agggghhhh!

What can I do? I am totally skint but have the following: tea tree oil (in carrier oil)
Toothpaste
Sudocreme
Tweezers
Pins
Steam
Flannels
Cotton wool
cotton buds

It hasn't any hint of a head, but even if it did it would be too painful to squeeze anyway.

Help me!

Run the tap as hot as you can stand it, get a flannel and thoroughly wet it then wring it out. Add speck of baby shampoo. Apply to eye and leave it there until it cools. Doit several times, re-running the flannel under hot water each time.

You are encouraging it to come to the surface.

If you are very, very lucky you will find it is a meibomian cyst. They pop up out of nowhere and hang around for months, stubborn little buggers that they are.
All you can do is try hot compresses, massage towards the eyelashes and line up for surgical removal if they persist.

My DS has one on his top lid that's been there from summer last year, just noticed he has two more lumps on the lower lid. Sad. Nightmare with a toddler to even touch it! If I were you I'd leave well alone!!

Nooooo I had eye cysts before and had to go to get them lanced every so often and then had them surgically removed. That was about 12 years ago. They were right by my eyelashes though. This beauty is just above the crease in the eyelid, around where the most extreme of the outlying eyebrow hairs could reside Wink < me!
