Liz Earle - do you recommend it?

I have been looking for a natural skincare product that is not tested on animals, this seems to fit the bill.

Just wanted to hear other people's opinions before I bought it ...

I've been using it for about 8 years & it's completely transformed my skin. So much better than it used to be. Still have occasional dry patches & then I use a rose oil under moisturiser. Smells amazing too & feels like real luxury still to me (before this used foaming cleanser for bad acne).

Ooh, thank you! Are there any products you particularly recommend?

Have the cleanse and polish, toner and moisturiser in my basket at the moment, what are their eye care products like? :)

Love Liz Earle, I changed from Decleor over a year ago after it just got too expensive.

I use the cleanse and polish, toner and moisturiser. Also use the face exfoliator once a week.
I love the skin exfoliator and also the orange blossom shower gel.

I use Neals Yard rose facial oil underneath the moisturiser and at night on more lines areas

I've just used up 1 large tube of their Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth cleanser. I have a 2nd one but have decided to throw it away, along with the superskin concentrate.

I'm not too sure what it was, but I'm not 100% about the product. I am keeping the 2 bottles of her Skin tonic though - I really like that.

I couldn't get on with it all. I've got dryish skin and it bought me out in spots. Strangely enough had the same effect on my sister. Dermalogica is good.

No. Load of rubbish IMO. Trading on herbs and natural stuff but is it really?

Boots No 7 do a cleanse and polish for £9 or you can take off any old cleanser with a muslin cloth- it's the abrasion of the cloth that makes a difference not the cream which is on your skin for seconds.

I was bought some cleanse and polish for Christmas, had often considered trying it so was happy to receive it. I quite like it, no problems with it, but not so much that I feel I have to buy it again when it runs out. Certainly not a must have for me, but I know others swear by it.

I love the Cleanse & Polish. I've used the Boots No7 one too but prefer the Liz Earle, even though it's more expensive: it smells fresher. I've got combination skin btw.

Nope, it's too astringent on my skin and totally dries it out.

This is similar and isn't drying and also meets your natural criteria.

I have combination skin.

I use cleanse and polish and the toner afterwards.

I use the superskin moisturizers and the oil in my skin every evening.

I also use the exfoliatior and the masks.

I have seem of the makeup which is good but as good as lots of others at similar prices.

I have tried the shampoo and conditioner but prefer aveda.

The toner so the skin boos tonic.

The hand cream is also amazing.

I hated the hot cloth thing. Mainly having manky damp cloths

I've used it for years. Great stuff (use the C&P and moisturiser).

I tried the Boots one once and it gave me spots. Same with the Superdrug Vitamin E version. I always go back to Liz Earle and now use nothing else.

I have 14 hot cloths and use a new one each day. They go in a basket in my bathroom and get washed when I am running low.

I love the C and P and will never change. I also love the Superskin Concentrate facial oil at night time.

Love C&P but could probably live without the rest of the range Hmm although the oil is fab on stubborn eczema bits I often get... I do have their moisturiser at the moment (just the normal one, I find the super skin one much too heavy).

Love it. I don't bother with the cloths though, just wash the face wash off with water.

I love c and p, and the skin tonic , I find the moisturiser good in summer but not enough in winter! Eyebright is good if you have eye issues such as soreness!

The masks are very good particularly the nourishing mask and brightening treatment.
I also like the shampoo and shine treatment.

I find superskin concentrate makes me itch and can't get on with it!

Have tried Liz Earle hoping it would be a cheaper alternative to Eve Lom. It wasn't. Would totally recommend EL, best product out there IMO. And although a tub is quite expensive it lasts forever.

I love the C&P, toner, eye bright, ordinary moisturiser, the shower gel (as a present) and the shampoos.
I don't like any of the superskin products (don't like the smell), the body cream/lotion - lovely but does nothing.
Lots of good stuff - see if you can get any testers before buying.

Don't like it and think it's very over-rated and cleverly hyped.

I cannot live without the C and P, it is great for makeup removal inc eyes as never stings. The rest..I can take or leave.. a lot of it is too heavy for my slightly oily skin. I've tried a lot of the range and none of it has improved my temperamental skin. But C and P..best cleanser ever.

You might want to keep in mind that Liz Earle is now owned by Avon and I'm pretty sure Avon carry out animal testing on its products.

As regards the actual LE products, Cleanse & Polish does nothing for me but I do love their blushers.

Report
VestaCurry · 11/03/2013 02:20

Stopped using LE when bought out by Avon
