So you all squeal about your finds at the hallowed TKMaxx yet I never found anything....
.... Until today when they had Orla kiely bedding grin
and I bought 3 sets blush

bangersnmash Fri 22-Feb-13 15:53:39

My best find recently was a white reiss blazer reduced from £195 to £20. Was hidden amongst some dodgy costs so was even happier with my discovery.

Good spot, sleep - do you mind sharing which branch?

StatisticallyChallenged Fri 22-Feb-13 16:06:11

The Edinburgh Craigleith has had the OK bedding, I got a set too.

Allthingspretty Fri 22-Feb-13 16:13:48

I find they vary a lot from branch to branch. My local, in Oxford, is great IMO and I got some great bargains. In my home town though it was rubbish, full of tacky looking stuff and not even that cheap.

justasecond Fri 22-Feb-13 16:36:13

I recently got current season 7FAM jeans for £24.99!!

Pseudonymity Fri 22-Feb-13 17:19:40

TKMaxx, are you listening to me? The Bristol branch is awful! Dire! Dreadful! Sort it out! Bring in the high-end stuff, there are loads of fashionistas in Bristol and all you've got are the last chicken in the shop handbags and endless acrylic jumpers from defunct brands.

Rant. Over.

QueefLatina Fri 22-Feb-13 17:24:07

Has anyone ever found anything decent in the Nottingham one?

The one time I went to the Cheltenham one there was loads of great stuff.

Maybe I don't dress like my fellow Nottinghamians I hope not

timidviper Fri 22-Feb-13 17:28:22

TKMaxx used to do some really nice plus size stuff, had it's own little section and everyfink, but they stopped it and now just have the odd scratty item tucked on the "fat" end of the normal rails and I am not happy!

OutsideOverThere Fri 22-Feb-13 17:39:39

Oh I got some a few weeks ago in ours too! smile They only had the duvet though so I left without pillowcases...never's still lovely smile

Wandastartup Fri 22-Feb-13 17:42:11

Newport is great- Calvin Klein and Falke tights, crew clothing fleeces and sweatshirts, ted baker pants and girls trespass 3 in 1 jacket( £12 from £80) are my recent buys.
Also home of the Jo Jo maman bebe factory shop but am gutted as my children are both now too big!

sweetheart Fri 22-Feb-13 18:21:07

I got a j crew jumper in my local one the other day for £25grin

thenightsky Fri 22-Feb-13 18:35:06

I agree about the nottingham one being bad, but I reckon it always has been.

Best one is Scunthorpe (who'd thought it) closely followed by Newark. Lincoln used to be good but is now full of polyester tat.

DCIlouisemonroe Fri 22-Feb-13 18:51:07

This week I got some Levi curve jeans for £24.99
Some Portmeirion studio mugs for £2 each
Orla Kiely duvet set for £19.99
I lurve TK

Spoonful Fri 22-Feb-13 19:02:50

I saw that Orla Kiely bedding & knew it was a good buy, but I didn't like it that much so I let it go.

OutsideOverThere Fri 22-Feb-13 19:07:49

Ours had the brownish grey crinkly looking leaves and the coloured ones. Check in the boxes as both looked the same, but managed to get the multicoloured one smile

NorthernLurker Fri 22-Feb-13 19:10:54

I got dd1 a DKNY bra for £3 a couple of weeks ago. I was pretty pleased with that. Cheaper than Tesco's own brand!

BillStickersIsInnocent Fri 22-Feb-13 19:21:32

Pseudo surely not as bad as the Weston branch? grin

RSVP Fri 22-Feb-13 20:01:18

Mintberry whereabouts in Oxford is it?

I know Cambridge one is fab, the one in the city center.

Latest find in my local (Kew): plum leather peplum jacket £30 from £240

sleepdodger Fri 22-Feb-13 20:03:14

I was passing through rugby and spied it on a retail park and had 10 minutes sans ds ..... So worth the detour!!
My friend who lives there says she never sees it usually!!

pompoochie Fri 22-Feb-13 20:35:55

I recently got some nice Paul and Joe jeans for £8 down from €235. Bargain.

alliscalm Fri 22-Feb-13 21:24:13

There are fantastic bargains in the Gracechurch St branch near Monument station in the City.. Stella, Miu Miu, loads of See by Chloe...not dirt cheap but hundreds off. Unfortunately for me they are mostly size 8 and 10. Also some Denim and Supply by Ralph Lauren parkas. Downside is I don't think it is open at weekends as this is heart of the City of London

landofsoapandglory Fri 22-Feb-13 21:27:20

I've never managed to buy anything for myself in the Grantham one, it's like a jumble sale!
