They're amazing, I'm really quite envious.

They would look good with grey skinnies, or a black jersey maxi skirt.

Saying you were 12 years old in the nineties still gives me a lot of scope to guess your age.Smile

No, you're not too old to wear them.

I have no idea what to wear them with - trousers, jeans..?!

I so want them trainers!
I would wear them with skinny jeans or normal jeans.
Enjoy your new trainers Smile

I want some too, and I am a few years older than you. To make them look more sophisticated, I would wear them with something sleek and black, like a polo neck and pencil skirt or dark denim skirt.

Why not a baggy pair of low slung combats and a kookai crop top, with an Adidas sweatshirt knotted insouciantly around your waist? That's how I wore mine.

Seriously though, I like the black maxi idea.

I am older than you and own 45 pairs of trainers including 3 pairs of AirMax 90s so you are definitely not too old! Wear them with jeans.

I'd wear them with black skinnies or leather look leggings, thin slouchy t shirt and a blazer.

I want some now!

I'm seriously contemplating getting some high tops but the juniors at school wear them and I don't want them to think that I'm an oldie trying to be "down with the kids".

I might get some after reading this thread! :o

oh YES queef that sounds an amazing look

and robin, get some!! which ones do you want? i have the nike high tops with a wedge heel and i love them. i would like some hi top nike air jordans as well Blush wish us women didnt stress too much about a)what others think and b)whether we are too old for stuff

(altho am guilty of this too, clearly :o )

Moody - it's simple. Don't stress about what other people think or if you're too old.

People don't usually think to themselves 'oh, she's too old for that'. They're usually thinking about something else entirely. (That's what I believe anyway)

I am far older than you and I own lots of trainers. Slightly less than magicrat EnvyGrin

My MIL wears trainers she's in her 60's and Ive never thought she was too old for them. I personally dont wear trainers, but I never really have.

I had some similar back in the day, I loved them.

I am convinced I looked amazing in those with a long skirt (not entirely sure what a maxi skirt means, I have wandered in here by mistake).

i like them too, I have just got some new trainers and wore mine with black leggings and slouchy top and shorter jacket. My dd assured me i looked cool. It felt so weird not having boots on with leggings, but it also felt like a new look too.!

i am 44! devotee of the Adidas Superstar (shell toe) for 20 yr now, but have just bought some different ones.

I think any jacket goes tbh, i have a lightweight blazery type one and my new jacket is a fitted black one, the slightly padded ones about at the moment. Like i used to wear horse riding when i was 12 lol. Couldn't find a nice green or blue one, but i found this one in Sports Direct for £15, it's a Kangol one and understated but nice length, just on hips. Think they are still on there.

I do need to invest in some trainer socks tho! Im bringing back the trainer to my life!
