I really realllllly want one of these. I love the idea of vintage as Zara prices are not my friend right now!

I like when they come in at the thigh area, wondering if I can alter a longer version easily?

Loving my wool coat, slightly oversized, goes with everything i own and i feel confident in it ... you can get a longer one and take it to get altered ( unless you're a whizz with a machine ?)

Not a whizz but if I put my mind to it I'm crafty!
Any tips on the style I should look for? I'm a 8-10

There's some nice coats in ASOS vintage boutique, marketplace.asos.com/listing/coats/vintage-long-wool-coat/698890 but i bet if you ebayed/second hand shop/market you could get cheaper ...

Hadn't thought of asos!
I'm drawn to a bright red one...
I want it to go with everything though so perhaps not the best colour!?

Love red, it's my favourite colour and definitely a way to brighten up the wardrobe, but i have to say i prefer the tweed cocoon one's - properly gorgeous !and will go with pretty much anything i reckon !

I like the cocoon styles. However I just popped into a charity shop near my children's school and they had a old style 86% wool coat for 6.99!
It was a size 14 which felt a bit too big so now I'm thinking I will search a few more charity shops tomorrow! Grin
