I'm sure it's been asked time and again but I just did a quick search and can't find a clear answer.

Are you crepey of skin, or crepey of fabric? Need to know.

Same here. I always skip those threads as I don't understand what crepey means but then I feel left out as everybody seems to be in them!

We are crepey of skin, particularly the wattle. The thread started years ago when 'women of a certain age' started moaning on about the trials of middle-agedom, such as gunts, jowls and hot flushes. And it's just gone on from there! Come and join us (only if old and decrepit - no sprightly young things please!)

I assumed it was a spelling mistake that turned into one of those 'in jokes'?

We can take over and spend the next 1000 posts defining what exactly a crepey is!!!

Oh and if this is going to be home for a bit (plumps up cushions, and settles down) can someone link to two venues for next Friday with times extra o if I can make it I don't have to scroll through loads of pages to find info, but have it on page 1 of thread.......pleeeeeasssse :)

It's the bit of fat that hangs over your C section scar. Or the bit of fat that just hangs over the top of your legs if you are fat and didn't have a C section.

Not sure I can settle under this thread title. I may have an existential crisis every time I click on "Threads I'm On". Grin

Re: explaining what a crepey is - I could just post a link to a photo of my neck and that would explain everything. (sad, but true)

I have an S&B query. Why are these so cheap? What is wrong with them? Are they just too last year or something?

Report
bigTillyMint · 29/01/2013 21:41

Hmmmm, maybe they just don't look very good on? Worth a try though for that priceGrin

Lostinindia - you can google 'gunt' for clarification, but you'll need to bleach your eyeballs afterwards.

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops · 29/01/2013 22:13

Funny...I thought gunt was a typo for grunt - think I'll give Googling that a miss, thanks for the warning.

I have a crepey gunt, but I'm 35 and gave birth three months ago so I'm hoping to be guntless later this year (naive).

I'm glad I asked though, because whenever I notice a crepe dress online I think I ought to buy it because there's a whole MN quiche devoted to it.
