After reading the list of shops we don't go to, I'm wondering where you do all shop?

noisytoys Fri 18-Jan-13 12:49:39

90% TK Maxx, 8% Primark, 2% elsewhere on the high street

Rikalaily Fri 18-Jan-13 12:55:21

Most of my stuff comes from Most of the stuff is brill quality, better than Primark etc and for a fiver everything is a bargain, especially the shoes/boots/knitwear. Other than there I go to Matalan and dp spoils me at Christmas & Birthdays with pricier stuff (fave was my Hell Bunny coat)

Tk Maxx, Uniqlo, John Lewis, Levis, Donna Ida, Brora, Fat Face, Superdry, Next, Wallis, Oasis, Phase Eight, Marks, Clarks, M&M Direct, Harrods, Harvey Nicholls, Zara, Urban Outfitters, Gap. Probably more but can't think at the moment. I will shop anywhere really.

Stopputtingitoff Fri 18-Jan-13 13:01:35

Am so fed up of all the acrylic on the high street that I'm going to give People Tree a try. Have just ordered this for work

MrsCampbellBlack Fri 18-Jan-13 13:03:52

Anywhere and everywhere - I shop at lots of the shops listed in the other thread, eg, River Island do excellent jeans at a very good price.

Dorothy Perkins do good jewellery and vest tops.

Next do excellend skinny jeans for children in a slimmer than normal fit.

Zara good for coats.

AlwaysSleepingBeauty Fri 18-Jan-13 13:15:24

I shop a lot in Topshop (and topshop from eBay!); ASOS, random vintage shops, the odd dress from River Island, bits and pieces from Zara and H and M.

LittleBallOfFur Fri 18-Jan-13 13:15:29

People Tree looks like nice stuff Stopputtingifoff - could you let me know how the sizing comes up?

Stopputtingitoff Fri 18-Jan-13 13:19:53

I'll let you know as soon as it arrives LittleBallOfFur. Hopefully true to size. Sick of sending stuff back at the moment. Looking at you H&M!

noviceoftheday Fri 18-Jan-13 14:14:13

My autumn/winter 2012 clothes buys where I bought more than one item have been from LK Bennett (work dresses), Ralph Lauren (jodphurs and a top) , Phase Eight (dresses for dinner dates), Jaegar (lace dresses last season were lovely), Kaliko (cowl tops for nights out), Gap (jeans), Banana Republic (the new macs are great), SuperDry (t-shirts) and Primark (basic long t-shirts).

I also bought one dress each from Marks and from John Lewis Collection, a pair of jeggings from warehouse. Oh and a summer dress from Desigual for our post christmas holiday!

I didn't find anything that I liked in some other shops that I have historically bought a lot from Hobbs, Fenn Wright and Manson, and Coast.

Pandsbear Fri 18-Jan-13 15:00:23

Last year I bought from Toast, Zara, M&S (wool tights and thermal vest only), What Katie Did (underwear), H&M (I think I did anyway), Celtic sheepskin, Hush, Primark (basics long sleeve stretchy tops), Vivien of Holloway, Heyday, rest from ebay/vintage shops/charity shops. Have been trying to only buy real material - so wools, silks, cottons etc. Fed up with the increasing amount of expensive polyester tat on the high street.

GeorginaWorsley Fri 18-Jan-13 15:07:22

John Lewis,
Phase Eight casual stuff not mother of bride
White Company
Mint Velvet
Independant Boutiques for labels like Sandwich,Charli,Soaked,Noa Noa etc
Independant websites such as Inis ,Caramel, etc for above labels also

LauriesFairyonthetreeeatsCake Fri 18-Jan-13 15:10:11

Boden. Brora. White Company. Phase Eight. Occasionally John Lewis/Monsoon.

All in the sales.

blue2711 Fri 18-Jan-13 15:18:22

Whistles, Zara, Topshop, Jaeger for most things and mywardrobe, Matches, NAP for treats.

turkeyboots Fri 18-Jan-13 15:18:40

H&m, M&S, uniqlo for plain tops, Gap and Mistral.

More or less the same shops since I was a teen. More fashiony high street shops dont suit me, don't like the styles of most supermarkets offerings and can't afford (or get into) designers.

Abzs Fri 18-Jan-13 15:35:54

In no particular order

John Lewis
People Tree - I find sizing pretty well spot on LittleBallOfFur in that the first thing I bought was an 8, it fit and that's what I've bought since without issue.
Outdoor Shops (esp staff deals offered at my work)
Phase Eight - odd sale bargain
H&M - have loads of their vests and tshirts
Next - occasionally (when my mum sends me a voucher for my birthday)

Gingersnap88 Fri 18-Jan-13 15:40:17

Anthropologie, Boden, Brora, Cabbages & Roses, Comptoir, Crumpet, Hobbs NW3, Hush, Jeagar boutique, Jigsaw, M&S (for basics), People Tree, Plumo, Poppy's, Toast, Topshop (jeans), White Stuff

Agree with too much polyester etc on the high street. Feel like there's a large gap in the market, have to do most of my shopping online. Hope I don't sound too frumpy, am only 25 blush miss having a "go to" shop where I'd like almost everything! Ah well...

GobblersSparklyExplodingKnob Fri 18-Jan-13 15:47:57

TK Maxx
Miss Sefridge
Urban Outfitters
Yop Shop

whatyoulookinat Fri 18-Jan-13 15:53:53

Tk maxx, Hobbs, Gap, topshop, Barbour,Kurt gieger for & vintage shops. There are so many shops I dislike & so few within my budget that I do.
