I finally figured out my style.
Now I know what not to buy - even if everyone else is buying it.

Finding my style isect my proj for 2013. I have perfume (thanks to DonaAna and fellow perfumistas) and makeup sorted, but have lost my way a little with having children and feeling that at 36, I'm not really high street anymore. I know what jeans and trousers suit me, so it is tops and dresses. I feel another thread being created

Definitely second MUA eyeshadows - the Undressed palette is brilliant.

Also:
Nails Inc Kensington Caviar topcoat - dries all glossy in less than a minute
Butter London nail polishes - fab colours that go on flawlessly, without formaldehyde
Clinique Airbrush concealer for my sleep-deprived eyes
Bioderma Hydrabio Riche moisturiser and face mask - sorted out my dry, flaky face in 2 days flat (after trying everything since the age of 8)
Phyto 7 day cream for hair - makes my hair all glossy and expensive-looking, without silicones

A lot of those were recommendations from Lisa Eldridge, who I luff.

I discovered that Estee Lauder no smudge mascara really doesn't smudge! Amazing!

I also discovered that Liz Earle skincare does nothing for me at all.

Simple kind to skin cleansing lotion and a hot flannel. I have adult acne and this has been a revelation. And soooo much cheaper than products aimed at acne ridden skin.

Benefit eye palettes
Ysl mascara
Carmex lip balm

Ooo yeah, rose hip oil for me too. I also think it's helped a bit with my temperamental skin.

This Korean BB cream. Wonderful stuff - doesn't make me orange and shiny like the Garnier one did.

Despite looking scarily grey when you squeeze it out it blends in really well - I look like me but better, with sleep.

Only 3 days ago, but, skinny jeans! Recently lost 2 stone and all my old mummy bootcuts were falling down. Still got half a stone to go, so have only got one cheap pair from Saino for now, but looking forward to expanding my collection.

BBH
Estee Lauder double wear
Nutrogena stuff for spots
Top Shop Artreu boots (love em)
Zara skinnies (after years of avoiding Zara because of scary small sizes I have found these skinny jeans in SIZE 10 make me actually LOSE a stone!)

Probably most importantly is that I have found stuff that is good and works for me - all based on sound recommendations from others - rather than buying random crap as in the past.

Also know how to avoid being frumpy (I think).
