bellechristmas Sat 29-Dec-12 20:27:35

Jacket and skirt from la redoute and debating a purse from Osprey reduced to £35 to match the lovely handbag dh bought me for Christmas. It would be a crime to miss out on the purse, wouldn't it?

addictedismoving Sat 29-Dec-12 09:35:57

I decided not to get the fatface dress, I couldnt find anything else I liked and didnt want to pay postage for 1 item blush

I did however go to dp and order 3 dresses and a cardigan. I cant find them now to link tho.

I bought a gorgeous knee length bottle green wool coat with gold zips and double breasted buttons for £25. I also got a pair of black glittery (subtle glitter if you can imagine such a thing) loafers for £5, quilted riding style boots for DD for £8 and an off white chunky knitted long jumper for £5. £7 for a reversible pair of skinny jeans, £4 for some Spanx-alikes and £6 for some platform suede and glittered ankle boots.

I've been quite lucky that I've got everything I wanted and needed much cheaper than I would have paid. No dud buys yet although the jeans are slightly too big.

unless you count a £10 pack of underwear

Bumblequeen Sat 29-Dec-12 00:31:16

I am very envy of you. I did not buy or receive anything special for Christmas--unless you count a £10 pack of M&S underwear-- I have no plans to go to the sales either.

Think I need to stop reading style and beauty. It only serves to remind me of how little I treat myself.

Oh dear am afraid to list - but in my defence hadn't bought anything much really in months and it was also my birthday so had lots if vouchers and gift cards to use up.
Maje dress in mustard / yellow colour, maje embroidered mini
Sandro black knitted dress
Acne jeans
Kooples top

wonderstuff Fri 28-Dec-12 23:26:48

No idea - I looked and decided to go back after sale starts - hoping it gets further reduced. Got 70% off Levi's earlier - 25% seems pitiful now..

libertychick Fri 28-Dec-12 23:18:07

Bloody hell Djembe - you have just given me a fright with the mention of pre preg hormones! It is horrendous this month - better stop guzzling so much wine just in case.

wonderstuff I have a loaded Hush basket and debating whether to buy now or hang fast does the stuff go when the main sale starts?

wonderstuff Fri 28-Dec-12 22:19:20

Last year I did that libertychick haven't bothered with online this year, returned so much last year. Though am now off to Hush website grin

Djembe Fri 28-Dec-12 22:16:04

Haha libertychick I have horrendous PMT or possibly early pregnancy hormones atm and have succumbed to the Hush pre-sale. Have ordered a charcoal Sloppy Joe dress (which is not a tunic) and may have accidentally also ordered a Marc by Marc Jacobs tomato red purse from Farfetch hmm

libertychick Fri 28-Dec-12 21:45:23

All I seem to be doing is buying and returning! Linked in previous post on this thread to a dress and top from Atterley Road - arrived today. The dress is awful - type of material M&S make slips from! Top ok but 100% polyester which I hadn't realised as the website description says silk! On the details section it does say polyester but very misleading to say silk in the front blurb. So they are going back.

Nipped into Monsoon today and bought a grey poncho which isn't on the website - loved it at the time, now not so sure so will return tomorrow as only 7 days to return on sale stuff.

I have dreadful PMT this month - one lousy purchase after another then all the faff of returns - think I am just going to give up and try again next week. Anyone else lose all sense of what suits you at certain times of the month?

wonderstuff Fri 28-Dec-12 21:04:43

Today went to Oxford St and I bought
Levi super curvy (or whatever the jeans for people with bottoms are called) jeans for £34 in House of Fraser (was £85)
Lovely Dickens and Jones dress (£40 from £80)
Plus sheet and duvet cover from John Lewis on 'special purchase' 200 count cotton for £40
Then had lovely boozy lunch at Carluccios. grin

Yama Fri 28-Dec-12 12:48:14

Yes, think I will. Buying clothes might motivate me to stop eating all the bloody time and go out for a walk.

Casmama Fri 28-Dec-12 12:45:35

Go for it Yama - you can't go wrong for £20 although delivery was £4 and delivery to a store was £2 which I though a bit cheeky but hey ho.

Yama Fri 28-Dec-12 12:43:30

Casmana - I'm tempted by the Wallis skirt.

itsallinthememories Fri 28-Dec-12 12:33:41

A leather tote and a scarf from Zara, a pair of patent chelsea boots and sparkly flats from Bertie and have my eye on 2 gorgeous work dresses from Laura Ashley which I discovered when I went in to look at a mirror, I had no idea they had such nice work clothes

chickensarmpit Fri 28-Dec-12 12:28:50

Nothing yet as i have been ill but my cousin has spent over £5000 in Next. She then waits a month, then puts it on ebay and makes a fortune. I think she's a greedy mare.

Amothersruin Fri 28-Dec-12 12:22:47

No clothes yet as havent seen anything wow. Am waiting another couple of weeks as Monsoon usually reduce their stuff to 70% off and I have my eye on 2 dresses and a coat.

Bought some new perfume even though I got 2 gifts sets for xmas!-Naughty Alice by vivienne westwood and thierry muglers Alien.

Some underwear and stockings from ann summers-I like their hosiery and it was 3 for 2.

Casmama Fri 28-Dec-12 12:06:34

these in plum and have just ordered in red as they are pretty and really comfy.
these are really nice quality.
this slightly too big in the hips but fine for work so will keep.
this which will probably need a camisole as it is quite low cut.

novelsituation Fri 28-Dec-12 11:05:14

Dark green suede boots from Jigsaw.

Last purchase for a very long time as my NY resolution is to do no shopping for clothes for a full year. V happy with my wardrobe but feel I've got far too much and need to spend time enjoying the nice things I do have without accumulating more.

E320 Fri 28-Dec-12 10:53:03

All online as I hate shopping, but:
Basler blazer, trousers and skirt
Poetry blazer and trousers
Brax 2 pairs of trousers, one cord one velvet (50% off)
Tommy Hilfiger leather boots (were in the sales online, but the Amazon price was marginally lower again)
Needless to say most of this is for work as I like to wear suits or trouser suits.
Saved quite a significant amount on the pre-sales prices, too :-)

Decameron Fri 28-Dec-12 10:21:58

Djembe, I know but my size is selling out fast!

PeppermintonCandyCane Fri 28-Dec-12 10:20:27

Two cardigans and some socks in Monsoon
this and a long grey one that's not on the website.

Just basics for work really.

Pinkflipflop Fri 28-Dec-12 10:14:00

Not overly exciting but I bought this from Fat Face

Think it will look nice with a skirt and emu boots.

<desperately hopes it will fit when I am no longer pregnant in 6 weeks>

JemimaMuddledUp Fri 28-Dec-12 09:46:53

Nothing very exciting or stylish, but I need basics as I have lost weight and nothing fits me anymore!

2 pairs jeans
3 long sleeved black tops
black gilet

2 patterned Mantaray tops
wrap dress

black cable knit cape

I also bought quite a lot for the DC in Next.
