Has anyone seen this?

Apologies for Daily Fail link.

I'm sure she's been airbrushed to the nth degree but nonetheless shock

I am 40 and don't look that good. Bugger!

VelvetSpoon Sat 22-Dec-12 11:24:47

Ah, link fail

try this

I saw it !! Her hair doesn't look like its hers. You can't see her hairline . Think she may have been photo shopped a smidge but good on her anyways .

NotSpartacus Sat 22-Dec-12 12:24:50

I'd like the name of her surgeon.
I lost 2 stone at 35 and it made me wrinkly, so I have put it back on!

I saw her on the Wright Stuff recently and was amazed by the difference in her appearance. I'm not an expert but find it hard to believe that is just eye lifts done that long ago and weight loss.

It's a good photo. She looks 30 years younger. I'm sure she doesn't look that good first thing in the morning...

splintersinmebum Sun 23-Dec-12 00:44:44

That is definitely not her own hair.

Selks Sun 23-Dec-12 00:50:18

It's a wig and she's been photoshopped.

mamij Sun 23-Dec-12 00:58:09

Wow! She looks amazing. Can't believe she's 75! It's definitely a change from the photo on her book covers!

FunnyLittleFrog Sun 23-Dec-12 07:51:14

She doesn't look like herself.

CeeceeBloomingdale Sun 23-Dec-12 07:55:55

She doesn't look like that on TV! Very heavy-handed airbrushing at work there methinks

notactuallyme Sun 23-Dec-12 07:56:10

Almost started a thread on this ! No way does she look like that on eating well and eyelifts - my mum has had those, eats well, but looks like miriams mum on the basis of that photo! No wrinkles at all? Chinny reckon.

Hard core dieting and surgery (it it's not surgery it's extreme airbrushing!) in your 70s can't be very healthy. Don't they say it's better to be a little overweight at that age? Better insulation, less chance of broken bones etc.

Looking forward to the Princess Anne make over!

MissBoPeep Sun 23-Dec-12 08:27:02

One word. Photoshopped.

kerstina Sun 23-Dec-12 08:54:02

I have always thought she was an attractive woman. Forget eye lifts and exercise it is the hairstyle that makes the difference. Very glam and suits her.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans Sun 23-Dec-12 09:05:23

She looks very young and good for her - but that hair and jacket make her look like some kind of Joan Jet throwback. She needs soft, wavy hair with her looks.

She's dieted all her life - I remember she used to say she had to eat 500 cals a day to lose weight - anything above 1000 and she'd gain. I always thought it sounded a horrible existence.

Nothing wrong with being 75 and wanting to look your best/younger. Just can't see why she'd want to try and pass for her idea of what a 45 yo looks like.

noddyholder Sun 23-Dec-12 09:08:09

It's the hair she has always had a young face. Hairdos look old

Thisisaeuphemism Sun 23-Dec-12 09:12:57

Omg - that is something.

But yeah, it's a shame that even massively intelligent doctors feel that at 75, they can't just relax a bit about their looks.

MissBoPeep Sun 23-Dec-12 09:16:51

She has 2 hairstyles- one short ( with suit) and the other long. I thought the long was the more recent- or is it a wig?

She has undoubetdly had surgery- and not just on her eyes- and she was a huge advocate of HRT for years which does help too.

bakingaddict Sun 23-Dec-12 09:38:00

I think it's an aged up Martine McCutcheon really.

No offence to Miriam and I know she is a doctor but why at 75 would you want to look like some blow-up sex doll. There are some naturally glamorous older ladies out there like Honor Blackman, Joanna Lumley, Cherie Lunghi etc. As somebody else said it just looks cheap and TOWIE like

anniewoo Sun 23-Dec-12 09:50:02

She looks amazing but is she doing a 'Lulu' ? 'All natural and a bit of my face cream with a tiny amount of cosmetic work' Yeah right! grin

casabevron Sun 23-Dec-12 09:50:49

If you watch the video at the bottom of the page, you don't get to see much of her face, but the hair is still there! I find it quite aging on her, tbh. The way it hangs reminds me of when I was a teenager and my mum would constantly be telling me to get my hair out of my face! I agree, she's always had a young face, but this haircut is just as ageing as the fluffy eighties job that she's ditched. I'd like to think that by 75, I'll have more going on in my life than still having to get the straighteners out every morning hmm

Oh, and if you can't even allow yourself to eat a full meal on Christmas day you really do need to think about getting a life. Its just one day, fgs.

"The agony aunt eats a lot of steamed and raw food, plenty of vegetables, fruit and fish, and no sweets, chocolate or puddings"

And then cries about missing out on cakes and being so bloody dull and worthy.
