Are there any producta/regimes to prevent shaving rash on legs?

I have quite sensitive skin and as for as long as I can remember, shaving rash has always been part and parcel of having smooth legs.

I can't cope anymore. As per, my legs have been on fire since shaving Thursday and I've scratched to the point where the area above my ankle is blistered, bumpy and bloody. It stings like a bitch :(

Can anyone recommend a good preventative product, or even a change in regime? I've used various shaving gels/cream, making sure not to use a blunt razor, not being too fierce etc. Nothing works.

Please help!

What are you currently using to shave your legs? Razor and gel/foam?

Maybe you need to look at alternative methods of hair removal.

I have exactly that reaction - it developed over the last few years (am now 40). I can't shave any more, it's just not worth it! I now use an epilator which doesn't give me any probs other than being much more time consuming!

I used to get really bad shaving rash on my legs. I now use hair conditioner instead of foam/gels and it seems to have tackled the problem. Just a cheap conditioner, nothing fancy

Tend skin. You can get it from amazon and its quite expensive but is completely amazing. I had awful, really dreadful skin on my legs in June when I bought some, and they look fab now! Xx

Thank you ladies. Waxing does the same, using conditioner doesn't help neither.I tried an epilator but as you say, time consuming and I also found it quite painful!

I'll look up the tend skin, thanks gracelesslady

I second hair conditioner, a nurse friend of mine recommends to any women who have to shave pubic hair for operations etc (this was in days before brazilians were common place!)to use as it keeps irritation to a minimum. Its always worked for me.
