I'm sorry, but it's WRONG WRONG WRONG! It's just a big joke surely, I keep hearing friends saying how comfy they are... it amazes me!

If your 18mnths old, YES, if you're over 18, NO fecking way!

If you wear it indoors, I don't see the problme

BECAUSE THEY LOOK HIDEOUS OF COURSE!

(sorry for shouty capitals *cybbo)

They look lovely and warm. Not sure I could cope with the stripping off to pee though.

It doesn't matter how hideous you look behind closed doors though.

Report
icovetthee · 13/12/2012 17:43

Because they're warm, cosy, comfortable and worn indoors.

These beauties maybe prove my point:

I am wearing one right now. It is a fleecy multi-coloured monstrosity. And it is bloody warm, with a long sleeve top and leggings underneath.

However, I will never ever leave the house in it. But then I wouldn't go out in my PJs.

Because they are warm!!
I have a zebra print one. With slippers and a blanket I am toasty warm with no need to crank the heating up on really cold days.

I refuse to be seen outdoors with it.

They're not obligatory!

OK...

a) They were designed for babies..

b) You must get freezing when you pee as you have to strip off..

c) Why would anyone you have sexual relations with want to EVER see you wearing this?

I am TRYING to understand...........

That is why I wear a long sleeve top under it. For going to the toilet.

And my DP said I look like a pillock in it. But he wants one for Christmas Grin

I have a leopard one. It is very cosy.

It must also make me look devastatingly attractive as my friend made a move on me when I was wearing it*

*It does not make me look devastatingly attractive. He must be blind.

Right let me explain. I'm a size ten. I am five foot two. But my tops are all three sodding inches too short and the rise in my trousers two inches too short. A onesie fits me, whereas PJs leave a freezing gap between top and bottom.

The ones with feet are bizarre though. And hoods.

OK, so I get that they may be comfy. But honestly, do you look in a mirror and go 'yup, that looks ok'.....

(or do not go near a mirror Grin)

I have a leopard print one and I love it, it's so comfy and cosy. I don't wear it to bed, it's for lounging :)

I look awful in it though and always feel a bit like a telly tubby when I wear it but my 3 year old dd tells me I look brilliant in it (I think she may be biased).

They look no better and no worse than flipping penguin PJs when you are over twelve Grin

They are gross & wrong.

And contribute massively to making me a really grumpy old woman.

Some people can pull it off depending on the design. I quite like the navy blue onesie with an argyll print on the shoulders like this www.republic.co.uk/brands/mens/fabric/fabric-diamond-mens-onesie-72642/?

I have one, I look a dickhead in it but it's warm and comfy and I love it!

DH bought it for me for Christmas last year because he knows I hate being cold. Marital relations are still on track even though he laughs at it. However, i would never, ever answer the door wearing it so my love is not unconditional!

DP pisses himself laughing at me in mine but this comes from a man that wears a Sith Lord dressing gown!!

I have said before on here, I have a cat one with ears and a tail. It just fit me when I was 9 months pregnant (there's a lot of room in the stomach bit of them). I love it. It is the best item of clothing I have ever had for lazing in...

But SURELY PJ's and a hoodie is comfy and not so painful on the eyes?

How come MNers are happy with their onesies but won't let me wear a fleece?!!!

Understand that there is no cold "gap" in the middle, but...

  • surely it must feel weird not having something kind of "tight around" or "sitting" on ur waist? I think i'd feel naked without that feeling on my waist.

  • zip against ur skin would feel hard, cold, or just even an annoying sensation?!?

  • and of course the whole toileting hoo-ha.

Dont think theyre quite for me!
