Price? Likes?

I like Clarins and Aveda and both will prob have gift sets out now but they are not cheap.

Urban Decay for eyeliners and eyeshadows and again they will have box sets at around the thirty quid mark.

For cheaper - Aveda do an excellent hand cream called Hand Relief and have a small tube for about 6.50.
Single Mac eyeshadows are about a tenner and v v good.
Bubble bath - I like the Kings and Queens range which is available in John Lewis at about a fiver a bottle.

A v luxurious pressie for women you know v well would be a Chanel nail varnish in 'their' colour and a pair of silk knickers to match - sadly, nobody has ever bought me this but I live in hope.

swooosh · 24/11/2012 16:17

Philosophy gift sets, the little Benefit gift sets, OPI/Ciate sets...

DownByTheOcean · 24/11/2012 16:23

Amazon have are selling Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream and lip balm set for £13, total bargain and brilliant stuff which every woman should own, IMHO.

Urban decay naked 2 palette and Clarins flash balm or face wash would make great presents.

Scarves at warehouse are a lovely and very reasonably priced present too.

I'm struggling for presents for the men in my life though.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/11/2012 16:30

Can't stand 8 Hour Cream. It smells of medicine and old ladies mixed together. :)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/11/2012 16:30

Scarves a good idea - TK Maxx worth a browse for them too.

Corygal · 24/11/2012 16:41

TK usually do Aveda 18quid gift sets for a 5er at this time of year.

They are also doing 4 essie varnishes for a tenner - 3 really good and one woaaah colour in a bundle thing.

DownByTheOcean · 24/11/2012 16:59

Grin Remus but it's iconic! Not to mention amazing for dry skin.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/11/2012 17:07

:) I prefer Flextitol: it also smells like old ladies but works better for me. Not a v pretty gift though!

If anybody has a Home Bargains near them, they have lots of perfumes at vastly reduced prices - Vivienne Westwood Let It Rock for 17 pounds was probably one of the best deals.

Glossynotflossy · 24/11/2012 19:42

Boots soap and glory travel sizes on 3 for 2 at the moment and probably other travel sizes like the sanctuary.

Tk maxx for nail varnish sets and scarves

lurkingaround · 24/11/2012 19:52

Don't know why Liz Arden doesn't change the smell of the 8 hour cream. It is vile. I don't know anyone who likes it. It is fantastic cream tho.

Anyone else put off Aveda's Hand Relief cream by its name? It makes me cringe.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/11/2012 20:02

Hand Relief always makes dp snigger. :)

lurkingaround · 24/11/2012 20:08

Do you think Aveda knows the name makes people cringe and snigger?!
Or is it just me and your DP Remus?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/11/2012 20:09

Oh I'm sure they did it on purpose! :)

lurkingaround · 24/11/2012 20:19

Strange folk, or clever folk, depending.

Another great list ^^ up there Remus. You are indeed a great list-putter-togetherer.

Glossynotflossy · 24/11/2012 20:27

You can get a fragrance free version of 8 hour cream.

Neena28 · 24/11/2012 20:27

8 hour cream now comes in fragrance free version if that helps! Ren skincare sets are cute and about 13 ish. Beautiful notebook and pen for my handbag would be appreciated by me!

Neena28 · 24/11/2012 20:27

I'm too slow as always! Oops!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/11/2012 20:29

I do like a naice list! :)

Notebooks and pens - ooh yes please.

REN stuff is lovely but I don't know anywhere here that stocks it.

MorrisZapp · 24/11/2012 20:33

Anything made of cashmere.

Korres guava body butter

Clinique Happy shower gel

Clarins hand cream

Anything from L'Occitane, Kiehls or Philosophy.

Boots Sanctuary is pretty good, and affordable.

CailinRua · 24/11/2012 20:37

Leather gloves or scarves are always a good bet. You can always use an extra pair of gloves or jazz up an outfit with a new scarf. The orla kiely scarves by Uniqlo make a wonderful present IMO. They are only a tenner and I have bought 3 styles of them already - had bought 4 for presents but loved them sooo much I accidently ended up cutting off the labels and wearing them! Have had so many comments about them and people wanting to know where I got them.

DownByTheOcean · 24/11/2012 22:05

cailin how big are the uniqlo scarves? Can they be worn wrapped loosely over a jacket or a they more for a knot round neck look? Hard to describe size, hopefully you know what I am asking! They would make lovely presents.

Downbytheocean, IMO they are quite big and you could choose to wear them different ways as a result. They compare to a nice River Island/Warehouse type scarf that can be wrapped around your neck in different ways. They are actually termed as 'stoles' on uniqlo website and you could use them as you would a stole/wrap to wrap around your shoulders.(or indeed 'loosely over a jacket') They all just came back in stock a few days ago and I'm trying to resist the temptation of ordering a few more before they go out of stock again, just as gifts you understand! (some chance!!). I definitely think they would make a brilliant gift for any female.

DownByTheOcean · 25/11/2012 02:26

Thanks cailin, I'm going to order a few! Smile

Pinot · 25/11/2012 10:36

I like the smell
