Yet again I fell for the pretty pictures Sad

Three dress and all are going back tomorrow. I'm not massive of nork by their standards (34E), but all of them were sooo tight over the tits I'd have been lucky to squeeze a B cup in there.

And the quality of two of them was a bit shite - hems a whole 4cm shorter at the back than the front. 100cm long dress was barely 94cms. Pics showed knee length dresses on the models - mine were mid-thigh.

Norkage was out all over... why do they cut everything so low? Just coz I have norks doesn't mean I want to show them to the world, especially at work!

Back to the drawing board Sad

Agree. Our local branch in Edinburgh has folded. The quality is just not there.

They picture well but always looked naff in the shop window so I've never ventured in.

Edinburgh branch has moved to Multrees Walk beside the Bravissimo shop.

Same complaint, I really like the idea, but how can you call a dress that is a) sleeveless, b) mid-thigh and c) with massive cleavage "workwear"? Suitable for working as what, exactly? What's wrong with a decent neckline?

thenightsky, I was going to get that 1st one, and i really liked the 2nd too (cant open the 3rd) now I guess its back to the drawing board for dresses!

It could be so good if they upped their quality and took advice from the people who will actually wear the stuff.

I bought 3 dresses last year.
Sent all three back after washing them as they turned into shapeless sacks.

Btw Hobbs NW3 is great for women with boobs atm IMO.

Yes, agree. It's all gone wrong with them. They have tried to do too much, too fast. When they were Bravissimo clothing, they focussed on a few key pieces and they were really very good. Now it's a large range with jeans, skirts, accessories, handbags...and the quality control has nosedived.

That's the other thing, I don't need a different handbag because I have bigger breasts Confused
What I do need is a proper work shirt, and not the one that's see-through or ends somewhere around my bellybutton, like the last few I tried at Pepperberry..

They are made for shortarses.

There are so few clothes out there for tall and large-boobed women Sad

I'm only 5'6" but I prefer a longer line in tops, so it helps with the proportions of my GIGANTIC TITS.

Ahem.

Pepperberry is too short on me as well.

I still have a few ace (random) bits of bravissimo clothing that are doing well several years on....like you, I got all over excited by the PB catalogue, bought a load of stuff and then sent every single item back.

It was naff, badly cut and finished, poor quality and generally crap.

Thank god Bravissimo bras are still good - not sure what I would do without BV in my life! :)

I got the first one on your links OP!

I'm a shortie and it fits me perfectly!

Grumpla you are right. I am 5ft and Pepperberry seem to me to be petite lengths. Hazelnutt you are right too, big boobed ladies don't need special handbags! Crazy stuff.

I have a lovely black dress from Pepperberry with black chiffon sleeves that is suitable for many occasions. It's a little low but just about OK.

I agree, they should stick to basics. I actually like the shirts as I have quite a short torso, and I have this dress which I wear very regularly. But a few years ago they did some beautiful and very simple blazer type jackets in red and stone - they were single button and beautifully cut. I want more of that. And proper work clothes - suit jackets and dresses for example.

With the exception of doing things to match the suit jackets I don't think they really need to make skirts and trousers. Or accessories.

And I wish that almost every smart dress they made wasn't quite so unforgiving at the tummy - big knockers doesn't mean I am a Barbie!

The one that would only fit a B cup in was this one Not sure how I cocked up the link last time.

It was also soooo tight that I had get DH to try and get it off me. The zip doesn't come low enough at the back. The sleeves (which look like they'll cover batwings) are actually half the length they are on that model.

It was the best of the three by miles in quality though. Lovely thick fabric and fully lined in bright red. I might actually just swap it for an extra curvey.

Fillybuster Would you mind linking to the items you've bought and sent back please? It would be massively useful if I start browsing the site and get tempted again Grin

Try //www.biubiu.pl
Very basic website but clothes better quality than pepperberry, and better fit. Ship from Poland. Reasonable too.

The last Bravisssimo own brand bra I bought was dire. I stuck with them out of loyalty because I once attended a baby group with the founder (she is lovely) but I've started getting bras from a local independent lately.

I am just massively turned off by their constant use of the word 'boobs'. Why can't they just call them breasts for god's sake?

Report
StatisticallyChallenged · 15/11/2012 20:02

Llareggub - if there were actually any faults with the bra then email them. I had a bra where the wires came out (but through the bottom which is quite unusual!)

I'd actually had it for about 18 months but had barely worn it as I bought it then got pregnant and immediately grew. They not only agreed to an exchange but as the bra was no longer made they swapped the bra and pants for a new set of my choice. Don't get me wrong I would rather things didn't break but to me that is pretty good service!

What? Closing down in Edinburgh? I am gutted! I don't go for all their styles but I usually buy 2 or 3 things in a season. And I really really prefer trying them on first as not everything suits (I would expect that for any retailer.) What a shame.
