I have tried it on and as I am fairly short, it is longer on me than in the picture, the colour is also a but darker irl.

I've been searching for a quilted but lightweight coat, not too puffy. What do you think?

I like it. I like the way it's quite fitted - lots of those sort of coats are too shapeless. Maybe a bit shiney for me but if it's not too shiney for you then go for it!

whatagreatname Fri 09-Nov-12 19:59:59

Not sure about the shinyness but if does have drawstrings inside to give it a defined waist. Thanks for the vote!

NotMostPeople Fri 09-Nov-12 20:02:59

I Don't like it I think it looks like its come off the market stall on Eastenders, sorry.

'orrible. Looks like a bin bag.

iloveeverton Fri 09-Nov-12 20:04:17

Not keen sorry

omletta Fri 09-Nov-12 20:04:50

Reminds me of one of those covers that used to be on boilers in the airing cupboard. Sorry

dexter73 Fri 09-Nov-12 20:05:36

Not keen on the colour or shinyness of it - have you looked at Uniqlo?

Ghoulelocks Fri 09-Nov-12 20:05:56

If it's the style you like costco had a lovely non-shiney version with a fake fur hood in a range of colours. Very very nice and better quality look to it. Half the price too.

sleepingsatellite Fri 09-Nov-12 20:08:17

omletta - grin

I quite like the colour but not the shinyness. It does look cosy though.

pictish Fri 09-Nov-12 20:08:53

Too shiney! It's all 'wet look'.

autumnfrost Fri 09-Nov-12 20:14:06

Joules Moredale jacket is lovely and warm

whatagreatname Fri 09-Nov-12 21:30:51

Dexter73 I like the Uniqlo A-line down coat but it looks a bit too 'puffy' - what is their sizing generally like?

Thanks for the other comments and suggestions

LynetteScavo Fri 09-Nov-12 21:38:50

I had a dark green Uniqlo coat like that.

DH told me I looked like a walking sleeping bag.

I lost the coat. So, if any of you have one hanging in your hall from when I came round 3 years ago.....

Kinora Fri 09-Nov-12 21:42:29

Too shiny - looks cheap.

I like the fitted style though.

dexter73 Fri 09-Nov-12 21:44:05

Sizing for coats is fairly true to size.

buttercrumble Fri 09-Nov-12 21:44:32

Sorry , dont like it.........

musttidyupmusttidyup Fri 09-Nov-12 21:45:23

Nice.

BrianAndHisBalls Fri 09-Nov-12 21:46:17

looks like something bianca off eastenders would wear, sorry

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Fri 09-Nov-12 21:55:35

Oh dear. No - it's hideous: really, really horrible.

Sorry but it is one of the nastiest looking things I have ever seen on the M&S site - and that is saying something.

lovethesun1 Fri 09-Nov-12 22:00:00

Sorry not a fan - too shiney, odd colour, bit too 'bianca' for me too!

whatagreatname Fri 09-Nov-12 22:05:48

I feel I have to defend the coat a bit grin

The colour irl is lovely
Its really lightweight but feels warm

However, it is very shiny but doesn't look cheap (imo)

dexter73 Fri 09-Nov-12 22:14:35

If you like it then buy it and don't listen to us!

whatagreatname Fri 09-Nov-12 22:34:11

All valid responses - just felt a bit sorry for it
