Superdry bag, Ice Watch and a pair of Vans?

What does this tell you about my nieces Christmas list to me? That she wants to be part of the crowd? What are 12 year olds into? I guess it was Adidas when I was that age. Is it the same thing!

Why Vans and not Converse?

It tells me she expects you to spend loads!

My ds, by the way has Vans and Converse (saved up for) and he wears them to do different and with different groups of people. Converse round here are a bit more upmarket than Vans. Not sure if that's just in this area.

I just asked my dd why no-one wears Converse at her school and she just shrugged and said Vans are cooler! Or maybe they aren't very upmarket here!

Converse seem a bit more feminine to me for some reason.

Vans always rein me of the skater fashion for huge bulky trainers back about 12 years ago. I prefer Onitsuka Tigers, much more comfortable

Converse more up-market than Vans?

DS1 now won't wear converse because me and his younger siblings do.

I think he wants an Ice watch, now that I've broken mine.

I think the Christmas list tells me she's not very girly. My DS would be happy with everything on the list. (Although Superdry bags are rubbish quality, and DS got through two in two terms).

well, Im kind of glad she's not asking for that flowery overpriced Kidston stuff.

I dont know what is higher on the coolness scale, Vans or Converse? I just know that it will be blinking freezing in Winter.

The 10 year old has asked for a pair of Doc Martens but, shes abit young isnt she? and shes a size 7 shoe already!! I have no idea on their fittings. Do you think its too early to be buying them. Given that they are £90 and might only last her afew weeks.

She had the Abercrombie sweatshirt nicked from her locker but hasnt dared tell me yet I probably shouldnt be encouraging all this labelled stuff. I like to get them once nice thing for Christmas though. I dont like buying gadgets.
